	This contest is held in honor of Writing.Com's 5th Birthday, which is almost upon us!



This community account of ♥Pay It Forward!♥ was started a year later as some bear cubs attempted to do something positive in the wake of September 11, 2001 and we were inspired by the movie, Pay It Forward.



By having this contest, we would also like to honor one of the site's first members, Bandit's Mama who died in one of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001. One of her favorite things was 55 word (or less) contests so the prizes for this contest will be disbursed on September 11, 2005 to honor her memory and do something positive.


We would simply like you to enter by creatively communicating to us in our forum how someone has touched you by paying it forward on Writing.Com in 55 words or less.




Rules: 1. In 55 words or less, tell us IN THIS FORUM how someone OTHER THAN YOURSELF pays it forward on this site. (You can create an item if you like, but we will only read in the forum - since this is a community account we cannot review or rate from it!) 2. Your 55 words may be poetry or prose, but it may not be longer than 55 words. This word count DOES NOT include the handle of the person you are writing about. BUT, We must understand what you are trying to say and it should be clear and well written since you are all writers here.

Example:
♥Pay It Forward!♥ consists of many nice bear cubs who send out site birthday greetings to members every month. By doing this, they pay it forward on the site. (26 words, not including the handle if I counted right) And I know you can do better than that because you have twice as many words to do it in!

3. PIF Bears may not nominate or win. Trust us. We know who we are and we won't win if you nominate us. However, we will love you forever! 4. Only the first 250 entries will be accepted so as not to bankrupt our gift point coffers. You may only nominate one time in the forum to give everyone a chance. If people are nominated numerous times, we will pick the nomination that impresses us most. In other words, you can only win once, regardless of how many times you might be nominated by different people! 5. All briefcases are eligible to nominate or be nominated, regardless of color or length of membership. 6. Keep it clean and nice like the rating or your post will be gone with the wind! 7. Once posted, your entry is final! We will read as we get a chance and there is no guarantee we will go back and read posts again if you edit them so please edit BEFORE YOU POST! 8. Entries only in the forum please! You may email us with questions and we will do our best to answer them in a semi-timely manner! 9. The contest will be closed when we receive 250 qualified entries or at 12:00 AM Writing.Com time on September 10, 2005!

For each qualified (55 word or less) nomination, 100 gps will be donated in the nominator AND the nominee's name to "RAOK Upgrade Brigade Group" We will notify all parties at the time of this donation from the ♥Pay It Forward!♥ account! 2. FIVE Winning posts (Nominee and Nominator) will receive 55,000 gps - 55,000 to nominator and 55,000 to nominee, PLUS 3. Winners (Nominee and Nominator) will each get a merit badge of our choosing from ♥Pay It Forward!♥ 4. All prizes to be announced in this forum and awarded on September 11, 2005! 5. Remember, keep it to 55 words or less and posted IN THE FORUM AS AN ENTRY! 6. We will close the contest after we have 250 qualified entries. Note: Qualified entries are entries that meet all our simple and well stated (if we do say so ourselves) rules. By telling us about someone else you will be paying it forward yourself!
