THE WINNERS

1st Place:
Words with OO - Naina~check item 1005972.

This took me 6.28 which was by far the longest and made me dizzy with all the OO's.
1500 gps

2nd Place:
Quorilax - Davy Kraken.

This took me 4.32 and was also one of the most unique ideas for a Wordsearch
500 gps

3rd Place:
Insects and Such – Inky Shadows~writing math book.

This took me 4.30. A very close call for 2nd and 3rd place.

200 gp’s

Well done to all the winners.

Bonus Prizes.

Most Original Idea for a Wordsearch.

Wow this one was difficult. I was torn on this one so I have awarded two of the many good ideas. Quorilax would have probably been a winner for this but as it won 2nd place I will choose someone else. I’ve chosen 3 as I really could not choose 1. I struggled to narrow down to three because there were so many good ideas.

1. Spanish Words – Reices for making me look up an English – Spanish translation to reply to review his Wordsearch and reminding me of a much enjoyed Spanish class.
100 gp’s

2.A Caliginous array or words – Alissa goes IB for her range of words meaning dark or foggy, appealing to my dark side.

100 gp’s

3.At Fourteen you rule the world – Mandik for making a Wordsearch about personal issues.

100 gp’s

Best Reason why your Wordsearch should win
Again very difficult.

InkyShadows~writing Math book had great reasons for all of his entries but as he won third I chose others for their good reasons.

1.Fantasy & Science Fiction- inbuninbu *back from Japan!

50 gps

2.Poetic Scavaging – Elisa, college, stik. A great learning experience. 50gp’s.

50 gp’s

3.In it All – Puditat.

50 gp’s to you too.

Thank you all for your entries. I may run this again next year or at a later date. I enjoyed every one of these wordsearches. Thank you very much.

This Wordsearch it's all about Spanish words. It's different, it takes time to finish it and you might actually learn something new and in another language

I made this wordsearch in honor of my daughter's most recent birthday. The words within described both her and her surprise party.

Poetic Scavenging
Looking for a poetic term?
by Elisa, Stik 15K
This word search borrows a bit from three languages, mixes up different sized words and has to do with poetry. How's that for convoluted?

This wordsearch uses words that all contain the letters "I" and "N". With an overabundance of these letters, the wordsearch should provide lots of red herrings and false leads. *Wink*

NOTE TO ENTRIES: I have decided to extend the deadline to 1 SEPTEMBER to try and encourage more entries. If I have no new entries by 1 September I will still judge the contest and aware GP's rather than cancel.

Quorilax Word Search  [E]
Names and words associated with the story.
by Davy Kraken
This wordsearch contains the names of people, places, and things from my novel, and I think it should win because I explain in detail the story behind some of the names. Oh, and my word search includes a purrty picture. *Laugh*

I believe this is the most challenging of word searches because it not only has to do with one of the worlds most beloved authors, it also has proper names and names of English towns interwoven with her well known book titles.

Note to current entries. If I don't receive more entries I may consider extending the deadline for the contest. If I still don't get more entries by the new deadline I will award the gps anyway rather than cancel the contest.

I think this is a challenging word search because the words are short and not easy to locate in the search grid. Have fun solving this one.

This is the best wordsearch because it is a challenge! Some of the words are very long and so not all of the words are in the same game (a little twist to the game!) refresh and start again but it wont always be looking for the same words.

I think my wordsearch is the best because not only is it going to prove the hardest to solve, but it is also filled with wonderful memories of a time long-gone-by. I cherish these memories, and hope you will have fun with them, too!
