I worked this from prose I was typing up for a Constitution Week display. Initially, the shape was looking like the Liberty Bell. As I tried to clean it up and refine the shape in rewriting, I started to see a classic "head" shape (similar to George Washington's profile on the American quarter dollar). I worked with color and then the idea of lifting the line ending with an elipse, and placing it in a "thought bubble."
