I usually like to cast my characters in the novels I write and "Berlin" is no different.

For "Cpl. Sharon Cates", I needed someone young, mid-twenties, with attractive features, and a very toned body (because Sharon is very physical being in the military) The actress has to embody strength, stamnia, intelligence, and be able to tap into her vulnerability. My pick? Clare Danes.

For "Jr. Sgt. Dimitri Nagory", I needed someone with an exotic look, yet rugged and handsome features. The chiseled appearance of Jacob Young captures Dimitri's physical appearance perfectly. Jacob has a great acting range and he's more than capable of playing the strong willed yet tender hearted Jr. Sgt.
