This is a picture of the SUV I rented in England. I think you'll agree it is like many SUVs we Americans see on our highways. It's compact, but no smaller than the compact SUVs that are selling with great success in the U.S., such as the Toyota RAV 4, the Ford Escape, and the Chevy Equinox (allbeit a bit less boxy). Yet, this vehicle got 44 MPG in the two weeks I drove it. How did it get such great mileage compared to the 22-25 MPG from the examples above? And who makes this car? Follow the link below:
