"A Hard Day Dreaming"
The plight of the mother and child, abandoned by the father

I was born in Bornsville
and lived such a happy life,
with my mom and dad until I was ten.
Then,’ I don’t know why’
My father with his lies, said goodbye
and moved to Straysville.

I asked my mother!
"Have I done something wrong
for daddy to go away."
"Oh! No my darling,
dad met another lady
at the rodeo in Las Vegas."

No Illusion, only confusion
Why, Why O’ Why
I wish I could die.
No mommy! no
please don’t go
and leave me all alone.

My Mother, seeing me in distress
having no tears left, said,
“Maybe if we go to Hopesville,
we will find kindness and be blessed"
But on our way, we lost our way
in a room in a lonely town called Emptiness.

Now where do we go?
My mother with tears in her eyes
and me not knowing what to do,
turning to hold onto broken dreams
while we wait to see,
will we find a home called Paradise.

On the horizon
a passing Angel
stops and turns our way to say!
"Come and follow me,
I will show you a wondrous Wonderland
that God has planned for lonely one's like you
where broken hearts are healed
and family ties renewed."
