Making Our Way Back
Heading back from the hike...

This is the last pic when my dad ran out of film. Even though this part of the trail looks nice and level and easy, trust me, it didn't last! We crossed back over the stream on a little footbridge and had to make our way up numerous switchbacks before we came out behind Mather Lodge. It was exhausting but worth it. Petit Jean Mountain is so beautiful and I highly recommend hiking any of its many trails.

(On top of the boulder is my husband Robbie, my daughter Charlie, and my son Eric. I'm standing beside the boulder brushing off my shirt after I'd boosted Charlie up.)
