Salmon boats travel close to glaciers to pick up chunks of ice. They then use the ice to keep their catch cold as they fish on their return trip to their home harbor. Blackstone Glacier dwarfs the boat less than a fourth of a mile from the Glacier Queen II, the boat I'm on.
