Mt. Lassen is a still active (but dormant at the moment thank goodness!), volcano that is visible from the back portion of our property and only a 30 minute drive away. It is breathtakingly beautiful.....as is its sister mountain, Mt. Shasta. Shasta is located further away from us, but is larger than Mt. Lassen, and looms majestically in our sight whenever we drive North. From the end of October on through winter, both of these mountains wear luxurious heavy blankets of snow.
