"I'd like too get something too eat."

It had been an incredibly stressful day for Kusaki, since he had spent much of the day worrying about what would happen if the Hokage had not accepted him into the village.

"Ok, Ichiraku it is!" Sakura replied, beaming.

Sakura and Kusaki made their way over too the small ramen shop in the middle of the village. As they were walking, Sakura glanced sideways at Kusaki and blushed. The boy was cute, which only made what she had too do harder. Her mentor had insisted that she be the one to give the new genin from the Sound Village the initiation because she thought that Sakura still needed more confidence. She tried too think back on the one time she had done something like this before and realized it would not help her much. After all, that had been a person she had known for years, how could she do the same thing too someone she just met?

As Sakura was walking, lost in her own thoughts, she felt Kusaki's hand on her shoulder. "Sakura?"
"What is it, Kusaki?" Sakura stammered. She felt embarrassed, though there was no way Kusaki could know what she was thinking.
Kusaki stared at her, slightly puzzled, and pointed at the shop she had just passed. "Isn't that Ichiraku Ramen?"
Sure enough, it was the ramen shop her idiot teammate was so fond of. She berated herself for being so oblivious.

She chuckled nervously and led Kusaki into the food stand. They both ordered miso ramen and spent their meal making small talk.
Soon enough, Kusaki excused himself too use the bathroom and Sakura was left too her thoughts.
She stared at her feet, sweatier than you could believe inside her boots, and began too reminisce about the one time she felt a male's tongue on her toes.

And too think it would be a fellow genin....
