Chapter 1: Conciousness brings a new life   (ID #273079)
an addition by: The_Timonator  More by this author

Beeps and hisses fill your ears as conciousness slowly returns to your body. As you open your eyes, you are greeted by a great whitness and two very pixelated blobs. "What the..." you go to say, but one of the blobs touches you and says, "calm down, you will be able to see again soon, your vision just needs some time to callibrate."

Callibrate? What do they mean callibrate, must be some new medical term. Well whatever the process, the pixelated blobs slowely shink and clarify into the forms of two doctors looking at you intently. "What's going on, where am I," you say.

"You are in St. Josephs hopsital," one Doctor says, "you were in a car accident, but you probably wont remember that untill your brain finishes initializing."

Initializing now? What's with these Doctors. However, just as he predicted, the whole incedent suddenly came roaring back into your conciousness. You were traveling on the freeway when suddenly a gas tanker crosses the median and... ... thats all that you remember.

"You were on the verge of death," the other doctor says, "however, while we were checking you we discovered that your brain would be compatable for an experiment to move it to a new host body and save your life."

"What did you do to me?" you ask.

"We have put your brain in control of a new robotic body," the first doctor replies, "we have taken the liberty of using scans of your origional body in order to make this new body look exactly like your old one."

You are left speechless, a robotic body? How can that be? You stammer out the first thing that comes to your mind, "D-does my family know?"

"Yes," the first doctor explains, "they needed to sign the go-ahead for the operation."

Next the doctors have you stand up, which is possible since your new body is not injured at all, and then have you walk around, next they test your coordination and relexes.

They ovserve you for the next couple of days to be sure that they operation was completely sucessfull, and to give scientists time to instal the appropiate maintenace equipement in your house. Such as having your shower be capable of making major repairs to your body, if necesssary; and your bed now enduces dormancy and recharges your batteries. (however, they also gave you an adapter so you can plug it into a wall to charge if you have to.) Then they release you back to your family, the first doctor gives you a little advise before you leave, he says, "You should know one last thing, this procedure was part of a government experiment, as such it is Top Secret you are to tell no one about your new body, and if you notice any strangers hanging around they are just agents checking on you, don't let them alarm you."

The next morning when you wake up you are faced with that eternal choice, school, you don't want to go, but if you are gone too long people will start to ask questions.
