Chapter 64: The Loving Monster   (ID #792554)
an addition by: chaos  More by this author

She floated down to them like a magical fairy, radiating peace and happiness onto all who saw her. A light teal dress covered all of her body lightly, not clinging to her body and moving around freely as she floated above everyone. The dress opened up at the top, allowing a tiny amount of cleavage to tastefully show. With long sleeves and a wide-open bottom to the dress, it was in complete contrast to the tight, sleazy outfits all the other girls wore. She had on a brooch and crown, both shaped to look like stars. A silver wand with a glowing star on the tip was held in her right hand. As she landed, her glass shoes clinked together. She looked at everyone through one eye showing nothing but warmth and love. She showed very little skin, but from her face, everyone saw that she had pale, soft skin. Only one blue eye could be seen because a golden bang of hair covered the other one. She was the picture of the storybook princess: elegant, beautiful and innocent. But something was wrong with her, something very wrong.

“Good evening to you all and welcome to the comet observatory. I hope I haven’t inconvenienced any of you.” Up close, her voice was so sweet that it made everyone want to assure her not to worry.

Finding the sudden appearance of the mystery woman to be a distraction, Peach wobbled forward, trying to be as diplomatic as possible. It was hard being nice when the people responsible for nearly all your friends dying were a few feet away. “You’ll only inconvenience us if you don’t step aside. We got some bitches to spank.”

“Such language!” The dainty princess gasped in indignation. The fatter princess pushed her lips together tightly, staring to lose her temper. Peach was usually the picture of patience, having to learn to wait when your only rescuer is a fat plummer, but she was not in the mood for games. Staring up at her past her huge breasts and huger belly, the woman that had appeared tilted her head to the side and sighed. “You poor thing, you don’t know who I am, do you?”

“I know who you are,” Peach quickly said, finally placing this woman’s face. She thought she recognized the princess, but she hadn’t figured it out until she saw her up close. Mario had loved to take pictures when he was rescuing her. Apparently, filling up his scrapbook as more important then keeping Bowser out of her panties. He had shown her a picture of this princess, told her how helpful she had been and nice to him. Peach would have been jealous if she had actually cared for Mario. The woman Mario showed her was standing in front of Peach. “You’re Rosalina, right?”

Rosalina, the caretaker of the commit observatory and of the star shaped Lumas. It was her job to watch over the universe with her tiny flying friends. She had helped Mario get Peach back when Bowser had kidnapped and traveled through the galaxy. She had been a helpful figure, seemingly motherly to the Lumas, so why was she working with Kootie Pie and Rouge?

“Yes, I am Rosalina, but I see you don’t know ‘whom’ I am,” The princess in blue told her pink counterpart. Peach just stared strangely at the other blond, having no clue what she was going in about. Smiling apologetically, she floated back up, slowly drifting towards Peach. Everyone tensed when the other woman drew closer, expecting some kind of attack. Rosalina remained calm, slowly bringing her lips a few inches from Peach’s right ear. She said something in a whisper so only Peach could hear. Once she finished whispering to Peach, the fat princesses jaw dropped and her eyes widened in shock.

“No,” Peach whispered and fell back onto her huge ass. The entire place shook when the two-ton princess fell. Sonic rushed to her side right away, afraid something was wrong. He took her chubby hand in his, but she didn’t look at him, peach’s eyes remained firmly planted on Rosalina as she floated back to where she had been standing.

Sonic spun his head towards the teal princess, flashing his teeth as he growled at the woman. “What did you do to her?!”

“I only revealed the truth to her, that’s all Mr. Hedgehog,” Rosalina said like Sonic had insulted her by suggesting she would hurt Peach. She smiled at everyone, including Rouge and Kootie Pie; who reacted to her warm smile by shivering in fear. They were the only ones that really knew this woman. “I told Peach some wonderful news meant only for her ears, but I do have other wonderful news for all of you. I’ve brought you all here for an important reason. You have nothing to fear from my two big friends or me because all is good. Today my friend, you will all be saved.”

“What are you talking about?” Amy asked, getting a little worried with the way the fight was going. Usually, the villain ranted and raged on about his or her evil plan, but so far Rosalina was acting like she was having tea with some friends. Either the girl was nuts or knew her victory was at hand. Everyone would soon learn that this was a case of both.

“I have come to save you. From my observatory, I spent years watching through my telescope at the worlds and what I saw shocked me. Death, hate, betrayal, greed and loneliness were all I could see. Everyone was suffering and my heart wept. My Lumas tried to comfort me, trying to convince me that for every evil there was a good, but that wasn’t enough. Why should there be any suffering? why should there be any loss? Surely there was a better way. Then I realized the one truth no one could grasp, to save everyone, everyone had to die.”

“What?” Whispered Tails as he held Birdo close. Over Rosalina’s explanation, her face had grown darker and her voice deeper. She no longer appeared like a fairytale princess, but a mad woman. Her words had chilled everyone to their bones, especially the absolute certainty she spoke with. There was no waiver in her voice; no doubt that what she was saying was true in her mind.

“Yes! Yes! Yes! Life is pain, choice is evil, and death is the only true salivation for the lost and lonely. Through death we all become one, so that’s why everyone must die. But fear not, I know you are too weak to see it, that’s why I exist, to save you. I have discovered a way for us all to be together in death without the interference of Master Hand or any other meddling deity. Can you imagine how vile it is that they keep us from death’s embrace? They have no love for any of us; they only want us to suffer. But I do not hate them, for I am love and hope. They will die too and join us in my afterlife for I am all forgiving.”

Rosalina laughed, her voice soft and sweet, but her eyes were vacant of any sanity. This woman had gone off the deep end and lost any sense of reality. Her own twisted truth about life had turned her into an absolute monster under the belief of being an angel. There was no reasoning with her logic; no understanding her mind. There was simply her view of life and its ugliness.
Sonic looked with concern at Peach a moment longer, not wanting to leave her side, but knowing he must. He stepped forward confidently, his big belly bouncing as he confronted the mad princess. His arm went up, pointing at Rosalina as she continued smile blankly at everyone.

“We won’t let you get away with it. You aren’t going to murder anyone else!”

“Murder? I do not murder!” Rosalina screeched, her peaceful persona disappearing in a brief fit of rage. She bared her teeth at Sonic, snarling like a caged animal, but then she shifted back to her previous caring expression. Once more she smiled, acting like her outburst never happened. “Silly Mr. Hedgehog, I am loving and filled with hope, I would never murder. I am simply delivering people to their proper place, somewhere that they will be happy and loved; inside me.”

“Say what?” Sonic blurted out.

“All the devoured souls are inside me,” Rosalina clarified. Slowly, she strutted over to Kootie Pie and Rouge, and patting them on the shoulder, earning recoils of fear from both. “When I sent my dear friends out to eat the heroes of the universe, I let them keep the bodies to turn into fat, but I got the souls. Inside me, are not only some of the universes greatest heroes, but the single most wonderful, brave and handsome hero ever to exist, Mario!”

Rosalina clasped her hands together and looked up in reverence as she spoke Mario’s name. Her deep respect for the Italian plumber got a tiny laugh from Sonic, who softly mumbled under his breath, “Now I know your crazy if you think Mario is the greatest hero ever.”

“Yes, I now have Mario and all the other heroes inside of me, giving me the strength I need to give the glory of death to everyone,” Rosalina exclaimed, prancing and spinning around the room like she was a ballerina. Her mad ballet stopped as she leaned over, her eyes dancing with excitement as she explained the last of her plan to her guests. “Using their souls as a power source I will create black holes to suck everything in existence into me. Everything will be destroyed and the innocent souls will be safe within my body. I will be the host of all life where all can know happiness and love. Which brings me to you. I know what I’ve told you must seem scary, but I also know that deep within each and all of you there is something that wants to join with me. I’ve brought you all here to be the first of billions to become one with me. All you must do is lay down and let me absorb your souls. My friends will eat your useless earthly bodies. Accept me as your God and all will be right, I promise.”

A silence settled over the room as everyone looked at Rosalina with gaping mouths and horrified eyes. They expected an evil mastermind to be involved in this, but instead had this deranged woman with dreams of genocide and peace. Somehow, an enemy that believed herself on the side of good was much more horrific then one with a hunger for power. They all knew their answer, but it was Sonic that said it first. Licking his lips, Sonic knew that Rosalina would not take their refusal of her terrible gift well.
