In the Aniverse, a parallel universe where anthropomorphic animals live on alien worlds and coexist a war has ravaged everything. The toad race has set out to conquer the Aniverse, enslaving all the races and converting their planets into swamps for themselves. Only one green rabbit stands in their way, Bucky O’Hare.

Captain of The Righteous Indignation, he leads his crew against the Toad empire bravely and without pause, but all is not right. Two of his crew have been captured and are being held by the Toads.

In a dimly lit cell on one of the Toads conquered worlds, two vastly different mammals sit on the floor trying to figure a way out. One of them is Bucky O’Hares first mate Jenny, a catwoman from the planet Aldebaran. Covered in white fur, long, shiny pink hair fell down from the top of her head. She wore a black battle suit with silver armor, shaped perfectly around her curvy body along woth a matching headband with a pink jewel embedded in. Light emerald eyes stared across from her at an oddity in the Aniverse, a human boy.

“I’m sorry we got caught, I should have fought harder,” Willy DuWitt said sadly, feeling as though he’d let Jenny down. Willy was a young Earth boy that had stumbled into the Aniverse through a failed experiment. He had joined Bucky’s crew, acting as the ships Engineer. He had short blond hair and thick, round glasses. A little bit of a geek, Willy sought to fit in among the alien animal crew and had gotten close to Jenny. Other then the leader Bucky himself, he trusted no one more then her.

“It’s alright Willy, escaping from the Toads should be no problem at all,” Jenny calmly told him and lifted up her arms. A pink light shone from her hands and the jewel in her headband as Jenny activated her powers. The females of her world all had magical and psychic abilities that they kept secret from the rest of the Aniverse. Only Willy knew about Jenny’s powers and was sworn to secrecy. He watched her powers light up the room and a panel come tearing off the side of the wall to reveal a ventilation shaft.

“Only Toads could build such substandard prisons,” Jenny said as she walked over to the hole in the wall. She stared into the ventilation shaft and her smile dropped. She turned to Willy, her expression grim. “Looks like there might be a problem Willy. The ventilation shaft is tight, just barely wide enough for me to fit into. You’d never fit into a space this tight.”

The information settled in their minds as their big escape plan went up in smoke. There was no other way to get out of the cell without alerting the guards waiting outside. With only one of them able to escape, Willy made up his mind what had to be done. “Jenny you go. I’ll stay behind and wait for rescue.”

“I can’t do that Willy,” Jenny quickly said before Willy could have a chance to go any further. “If I leave you behind the Toads will move you and we might never find you. I’m not leaving unless your with me. If only you were smaller then we could…” Jenny paused, her face going blank before a tiny feline smile formed on her furry face. She looked up at Willy with newfound self-confidence, she knew how to save her pink skinned friend. “Willy, how much do you trust me?”

“I trust you completely, Jenny,” Willy told her, not understanding what that had to do with anything. Smiling coyly at him, she placed her hand on his shoulder and winked. “Then don’t panic when I do this.”
