Nothing ever seems to change, but there is plenty to learn if you visit there. Not many real animals around there though, but just because the ones you'd come acorss are stuffed with fluff, that doesn't make them any less real. Plus, if you feel like you're too old for them, just keep this in mind, they know how to party.
Yes, tonight in Pooh Bear's house, he and his friends were throwing a party solely for the fun of throwing a party. Everyone from the woods was there, including a certain family of Kangaroos. Roo was currently off with Tigger as the two were just bouncing all over the place, overcome by the fun of the party. Eventually Roo bounced on top of a balloon, and to his surprise, it didn't pop. He did it again and again, and every time he only bounced higher and higher.
"I ain't never tried bouncin' like that. Let me take a crack at it." Tigger said. He then lunged forward, prompting Roo to leap out of the way before Tigger landed on a pile of balloons. They all at once popped, but that sent him high up into the air, much to his joy. Once he bounced back down, him and Roo went right back to their fun.
"Now Roo, you be careful." a concerned mother called from the sidelines. Kanga tried to enjoy the party, but it was hard when she feared her baby might hit his head on the ceiling or something. For those who don't know, Kanga was the only female around the Hundred Acre Wood. Since she had a son, she was very motherly, but really towards all of her friends as well. That didn't mean she was a pushover though, having her own sense of humor and a bit of a devious side like when Tigger tried to pull "The Old Switcheroo" and put Piglet in Roo's place so he wouldn't have to take a bath. She played along like she didn't know a thing, and really drove Piglet crazy until the charade ended.
Appearance wise, she had brown fur covering most of her body, and pink on her torso down to her pouch and on the underside of her tail. Also, even with a pouch, her tummy was a bit on the large side as it drooped and bulged with more than just the room for Roo. Her legs, although equipped for hopping, were very thick and led into her wide hips, all the way to her thick tail. To put it simply, next to Pooh Bear, Kanga was definetely the most 'well rounded' resident of the woods.
As she took a sip of her punch, the worry in her stomach gave way to growling. Patting her paunch, she told herself that maybe having a full tummy would calm her down. This party had so much food to choose from though, she didn't know where to start.
All of a sudden, some loud smacking interrupted her train of thought. Turning her head, she saw Winnie the Pooh sitting off to the side and surrounded by empty Hunny Jars. He was already working on downing his fourth one, and as said was eating rather noisily. Sure his behavior would go unnoticed at any party, but to a mother like Kanga, well she couldn't allow such sloppy behavior to continue and hopped over to him.
"Honestly Pooh Bear, where are your manners?" Kanga asked with her hands on her wide hips. She just looked disappointed and a bit disgusted at the sight of the bear. Not only was he not cleaning up his own mess, but some of that sticky honey had gotten on his shirt. She'd never let Roo be this messy.
"He probably thinks they’re at the bottom of the pot. Ahoohoohoohoo!" Tigger said, having bounced over in time to hear what Kanga said. As she took notice of her friend and her son arriving next to her, Kanga then returned to scolding Pooh "And how can you eat so much of just one thing?"
"*Giggle* That’s the thing about honey, Kanga. *Slurp!* It’s just that good." Pooh responded. As he licked some honey from his lips, the mother of one just rolled her eyes. Pooh was so much like a child, only choosing to like one thing and never trying anything else. Sometimes she felt like she was the only mature one in the Hundred Acre Woods. In fact, she then crossed her arms and responded "Hmph, well I don’t see what the big deal is."
"Well wait a minute momma, have you ever tried Honey?" that made Kanga's eyes pop open. She looked down at her son and tried to speak, even though she realized that he had made a good point. Any hope of avoiding the inevitable happened when Roo added "I mean, you’re always making me eat vegetables and gross stuff like that, even though I say I won’t like it, all because you tell me I won’t know until I try."
Kanga knew she was cornered, and although a part of her was proud of her boy for making a mature point, she then noticed that everyone was looking at her now. She knew what they were waiting to see, and as Pooh handed her his jar, she just sighed and took it.
"Don’t do it Kanga. I tried honey once, and…YEEEEYUCKO!" Tigger told her. Kanga tried not to listen to him, not be rude, but to do this when an open mind. She knew that if you try something and expect not to like it, you can convince yourself that something is horrible no matter what. As she looked at the sticky honey in the jar, she knew she didn't want to do this, but that wasn't a good enough reason not to.
"Sorry Tigger," she spoke. She dipped her par into the jar, not enjoying the warm goo soon sticking to it. Still, she persevered and brouhgt her now honey covered paw to her face, stating "but I have to set a good example for my son" and reluctantly engulfed her paw.
Everyone was silent with anticipation as they watched Kanga slowly slurp every smackeral from her hand. Her eyes remained closed for a few seconds as she took in the whole flavor, but then her eyes shot open. Once she popped her now clean paw out of her mouth, a bright smile spread her lips.
"Delicious!" Kanga exclaimed. All at once she stuck her whole head into the jar. She astounded the crowd around her as they heard her loudly smack and slurp down all the honey she had. Intermixed were one or two moans Kanga gave off solely from the flavor, but they soon gave way to more slurps as more honey poured down her neck. She MMMMMed numerous times as well before finally popping the jar off her head. It fell back down into Pooh's hands and he saw that the pot had been licked clean "Oh Bother."
"Pooh Bear, I'm sorry for scolding you before. You were right, honey is just so yummy!" Kanga happily spoke, rubbing her tummy and licking her lips. Pooh was happy that his friend was, knowing very well how good honey was. Then, she even asked him "Could you show me how to collect honey for myself tomorrow?"
