The most tightly packed was the theater where Spiderman the movie had been rereleased. Many were excited to see this great superhero comic adaptation on the big screen once again.
"Boring." well most were.
"Dash be quiet." Violet whispered. Her brother had been complaining practically sense the movie started, and the reason was clear.
"What's with all the talking? When's he gonna start fighting?" So far Dash had just seen Peter getting bitten by the spider. "There's more to a super hero than just fighting, you know that." Violet whispered back. "Yeah but it's the only part that's cool." Dash remarked.
"SSH!" someone remarked from the row above. "Sorry." Dash apologized.
It was behavior like that in which Violet made her brother see this movie. Superheroes watching a superhero movie might sound redundent, but she was hoping that her brother would get the message.
"I'm here Uncle Ben." Peter teared as he held his dieing uncle's hand. Violet wanted to get across to Dash that a hero is more than just a butt kicking costume. There are real people behind the masks. She thought that after all they had been through he would get it, but still, with his thick head, she wasn't surprised.
"What about my uncle!? Did you give him a chance!? DID YOU!!?" Peter held his uncle's killer against the wall. Dash grinned, now it was getting good.
Spiderman swung in and knocked the Green Goblin off his glider. Dash marveled at how the action scene unfolded. Violet even caught him throwing a few punches. This brought up another worry she had. Her brother's influence on her baby brother. While Dash may be a lost cause, Jak Jak could still grow up with these human hero values. He would have to learn them later though, he was sleeping soundly in the seat next to them.
Violet loved watching Peter save Mary Jane, and she chuckled along with Peter when Harry said "What do you mean he's incredible?".
Later while Peter conversed with MJ, Violet thought "For a nerd, he is cute.". Being a crime fighter, Violet hadn't had much time for boys, and later when she watched Mary Jane kiss Spiderman, it was almost hard to watch. She wished some boy, super or normal, would be that close to her.
Later in the film, as they watched Spiderman and Green Goblin go through their final battle, they were also reminded just how twisted villains can be. I mean, this guy attempts to kill a group of kids and the hero's girlfriend, and then threatens her while Spidey is on his knees. Dash got goosebumps as he saw the hatred burn in Peter's eyes. The final battle left them both with relief and remorse.
Then the final scene sent one last message. When you are destined to do great things, sometimes you must make tough decisions. They may affect your whole life, but you have to do what you have to do. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
