Chapter 7: Honey, I shrunk my class   (ID #490905)
an addition by: SonicV  More by this author

"Step lively class, right this way." Dr. Papas stated to his class. He wanted to make sure his class saw everything "The museum has some new exhibits, and I don't expect us to miss them.". His homeroom class followed close behind. They were all ordinary kids, with all the ordinary problems of growing up, but in the case of one student, she was anything but ordinary.
That girl was Creepie Creature. She was a short girl, always wore a black dress, with a purple shirt and stockings beneath. They went very well with her multicolored hair, which had shades of red, yellow, and powder blue. She wore purple eye shadow, and purple lipstick.

At first glance, Creepie may appear Goth, but she isn't. Yes she does dress in that particular manner, yes she likes dark and scary things, and her skin is pale, but there is another explaination for that.
She was raised by bugs.
Yes, when she was a baby, her parents abandond her on the stoop of the Dweezwald mansion. It was supposed to be abandoned, but it had some new owners. The kinds with four legs and eight eyes. They took pity on the girl, took her in, and treated her as one of them. They fed her, clothed her, and even taught her a few ways to survive.
With such a large family, Creepie has thousands of cousins and other relatives, but only two parents. Her mother's name is Caroleena, and she is a Praying Mantis, while Creepie's father, Vinnie, is a mosquito. Thank god for him, he would have his head bitten by off by now otherwise.

Anyway, being raised by bugs has made Creepie trully understand how important every creature on earth is. If someone was burning ants with a magnifying glass, she'd stop them. Somebody tears off a butterfly's wings, bad news for them.
Creepie valued all life, and wanted to make sure her family remained safe, which is why she never told anyone except her best friends her secret.

As Creepie walked in the back of the group, she noticed a room that they had passed by. It was dimmly lit, and she thought she saw movement in there. Curious, Creepie wondered in only to find some unfriendly faces
"So I said no way, and she was all no way! And I was all, Yeah huh!" Carla spoke into her cell phone. She was a cheerleader, and was obsessed with fashion, cell phones, and makeup. Beside her as always was her best friend, Melanie. She was a walking stereotype of a dumb blonde, and has constant problems with pronounciations.
Those two were the only kids that Creepie recognized, but she knew the others were from her school thoough.

"What are you doing in here?" she came up to Carla and asked. Carla temporarily stopped talking on her phone "Ugh, this place is like totally boring.". "Yeah, so we ditched the group a while back." Melanie added. "This place is too dark for anybody else to see us, plus we have a signal in here!" Carla squealed. Creepie just rolled her eyes. There wasn't any immediate hatred between those girls and herself, but they were always annoying.
Instead of continuing this stimulating conversation, Creepie began checking the room out. Passing by the other kids, she noticed that this room seemed to be part of the Egypt exhibit. There were Hyroglyphs on the wall, and even a few statues of some pharoah. Though, this room still looked like it was being worked on.
Then, something caught her attention.

At the end of the room, was the only nice looking part of it. Two statues stood on both sides of a display box, as though they were guarding it. Upon closer inspection, Creepie witnessed quite a sight.
Aside from the case having no glass on it, inside was an amulet. It was black, and looked like it had thorns on it, and sticking out like a sore thumb, was blue gem in the middle. Carefully, Creepie reached down, and picked it up. It was so beautiful to her, and while underneath one of the few, flickering lights in the room, she could have sworn that she saw something inside the gem. It was a bug, more accurately, a Scarab Beetle.

Suddenly, it was snatched from her hands "Hey!". " Shh....hmph, only you would like this Creepie, the only part of this thing that looks good is the jewel." After saying that, Carla believed she saw the outline of the beetle as well, but to get closer look, she held it up to the light above so that it would shine directly on it.
It started to glow.

FLASH!

Everyone rubbed their eyes. One minute they were talking in a dark room, then everything became bright.
"Ow my eyes," Melanie tryed to look around "everything looks all blurry, and big.".
"Uh, Melanie." Creepie held her by the arm and pointed up. She, and everyone else gasped. They were surrounded by giant statues, giant ladders, and the lamps above now looked like the sun.
They had all shrunk!
Everyone started to scream and panic. All but Creepie. She had been weirded out at first, but the fear inside her quickly quelled as she realized someting else.
Creepie looked upon her now even smaller body, and then looked back at the now enormous world before her. For many years in her short life, Creepie had always imagined what it would be like to be a bug and now she was the size of one. It was the coolest thing ever to her, not so much with everybody else.

A loud whistle emitted from the room, and everyone stopped.
"Listen everyone, I know you're all scared, but instead of panicking, I think we should get out of here first." Creepie stated. She knew that if they stayed here, something was bound to happen.
Unfortunately, she also knew the safest place they could go. That may sound like a good thing, but the only safe spot would be Crepie's house. Doing this would expose her secret, and their would be no going back.
Maybe everyone would be greatful enough to keep their mouths shut.
What ever happened, Creepie just hoped something would keep them from telling.
