"May I help you?" a kind-looking vulpinoid secretary asked the spokesperson for this fairly large group of people. She figured it was either fairly important or these people came to intimidate her. They looked friendly enough, though, other than the reptile and the lupinoid.
"Yes," said the equally-kind-looking vulpinoid who seemed to be the spokesman of the group, "we're here to see Miss Weltzin. I have the understanding that she has an open-door policy, correct?"
"That is correct," responded the secretary, "However, I must warn you. She's not in the best of moods this time of month, if you know what I mean..."
"Ah, I see," said the handsome vulpinoid male who looked strangely familiar now that the secretary thought about it, "Well, this is fairly important (confirming her first suspicion). May we enter anyway?"
Shocked, the secretary waved them in without a word. She couldn't believe something urgent would have to come to Miss Weltzin. Perhaps her boss was more important than she thought. This shock is what made her forget that once or twice the people who came to see Samantha didn't come out...

The group shuffled in: the vibrant fox leader, followed by a blue-furred vixen, followed by a blue-feathered bird, followed by a squat toad, followed by the sneering and pissy-looking wolf (she'll have to remember to avoid that one's glance), followed by a decent-looking black felinoid male, followed at last by the hooded, creepy-looking lizard-man (whose gaze she also avoided). They went in and the lizard closed the door behind him. For a second, she feared for Miss Weltzin's safety and was about to call security just in case, but then she remembered that the benevolent ones outnumbered the malevolents. Besides, she knew Miss Weltzin could take care of herself.
