You hold your head as Iris weighs her choices. She hated Rufus just that much. But after hearing the General's secret agreement with Sigma, there was much more to lose. She sighed. "The idiot was taken to Repliforce HQ. I don't know any more than that." she said "Now can we take him..." she said, nodding, in your direction "...to see Dr. Cain? We need to find out what's going on with him."

X and Zero nod and haul you to your feet and the four of you head to the lab of the good doctor. Of course once you get there and everything's explained, Dr. Cain insists on examining you.

"Hmm...fascinating, seems Iris' new friend has the ability to change his neuro-electric energy in a way that allows him to convert his consciousness into a sentient being composed completely of electromagnetic waves. And can even form hard-light projections using electromagnetic waves." Dr. Cain said with intrest at long last after a long inspection.

"You say...this happened to you because of how much you knew about Sigma's plans?" Zero asked, you nod.

"Sigma dosen't like getting his hands dirty unless he's out of options, this way, the rest of the world around you could have done you in for him...sounds like something that Maverick would pull." X mused.

"Ugh...so many options...so many scenarios...make it all stop." you groan "it's like thinking with mulitpul brains..."

"You're picking up on things normal humans can't such as physical data, thought waves, digits, bios, the works...natrually, you'll need to adjust to that. Because of it, you're going to be prone to jumping to conclusions until you get use to it." Dr. Cain said.

X, Zero, and Iris all look at you and then share a glance with one another, well, that explained the "You're not putting me in a mason jar!" coment form earlier.

"So...Rufus is in trouble again? Not surprising. My clients are very close friends with his deceased father. They could hault funding to the Maverick Hunters indefinitely if something bad happens to him. Added onto how he isn't the most mentally stable person..." Cain said, trailing off.

"So he's insane AND spoiled, huh?" you say.

"Afraid so..." the doctor said.

"Well, nuisance or not, if Sigma really IS the one behind all this, we've got to rescue Rufus...no matter how badly we don't want to." Zero groans.

You move to stand, but Iris pushed you gently back down "How do you aim to help, no offense, but you don't seem to know how to fight with Vile's body just yet."

"Never used a gun in my life, but if this mess dosen't get fixed, Sigma's job is easier. Can't allow that." you said then rub where your temples would be if you were still human. "Ugh...is there a way to tone this data input down?"

"I'll see what I can do." Dr.Cain promised you.

X put a hand on your shoulder that lacked a gun. "Easy...I know you want to help, but you'll be more of a liability until you're actually use to Vile's body...and going around Repliforce HQ in Vile's body is suiside anyway. Even more so if you don't know how to use it to fight with."

You sigh "I know but..."

"Get trained first, then catch up." X instructed

"Ok...but who'll train me?" you ask.

"I'll call Axl, meet him in the training field, give youself a crash course. Don't have time for anything else." Zero said, walking out of the lab "And I swear if I find out this is some trick and you harm Iris...I'll kill you."

You gulp.

Iris sighed, shaking her head and giving you an aplogetic smile "Sorry...he's just as bad, if not worse, than my brother when it comes to my wellbeing, Erjohn."

You nod and she leads you to the training area of the Maverick Hunters base. As you get there, you start feeling worried, Sigma didn't know about YOU, but he knew for a fact IRIS was aware of him being the mastermind behind the Repliforce coup. What if something happened to her?

"Yo! In the slimeball's old shell, over here!" a new voice calls and you see Axl waving at you.

"So you're the guy the big Z told me about, eh?" he grinned "Welcome abored, rookie."
