"Hm?" she turned her attention to you.

"Thanks for getting me away from the Rocket." you say with a nod, she smirks at you in responce.

"No problem...but just what are you?"

Tipical question.

"Fully human...just a bit of REAL bad luck." you answer honestly.

Ember looked you over and nodded "No kidding, short-stuff." the Team Magma member said, with a laugh.

"Ha ha...you're hilarious." you tell her flatly.

"Sheesh...will you lighten up? Though admittidly you more than likely have a LOT of ressons to be ticked off. Still...you don't need to worry."

"I take it that'll last as long as I'm NOT on the side of those water-loving Jack Sparrow-wanna-be's?" you ask

"Captain." Ember corrected "Captain Jack Sparrow."

That makes you grin a bit, to think a Team Magma member likes those movies.

"HA! Gottcha to smile!" the yellow/red girl smirked in triumph.

Shrugging, you nod in acceptance of that. Girl was good, had to give her that much. Though you had to wonder why she was being so diffrent from the usual villian thing, but you supposed that Ember is more an anti-herioen. After all, in Sapphire, Team Magma was relegated to a supporting role in Sapphire while aiding the protagonist, with Team Aqua instead performing the same actions of awakening Kyogre instead.

"No need to worry...I understand why Team Aqua wants what they do, but I'm not all that big on watter-world myself...no gills." you say.

Ember beams at you upon hearing that.

As she did so, you look her over again. Taking in details was a lot easier without Jessie to scare the hell out of you.

Like you noticed earlier, unlike the usual Team Magma outfit, she wore a red short-sleeved T-shirt with the Team Magma symbol on it along with a pair of black jeans and a pair of sneakers with a flame color scheme long with the soles being black with red orange on the bottom, immitating the look of cooling lava. Along with that she had black gloves with red cufs covering her hands and black socks. Her chin-leangth hair was blond with red tips like highligts and in downward-going spikes. Her skin was pale like alabastar and her eyes were yellow with red with on the outside just on the edge of her iris. Her features were more along the side of tomboyish, on the short side; while she was rather attractive like her friend she was short by several inches and she was bottom heavy with a shapely rear, as well a a C-cup. By her facial appearances she was 15 or 16 with nice pouty lips, and DESPITE being with Team Magma, Ember seemed cute, innocent and niave in a sort of way. Height-wise (if you were your NORMAL size) she was 5'7", and though you'd likely die if you ask her, you guessed she was 112.4 pounds...of course you knew better than to ask a woman for their weight, even when you were NORMAL-SIZED...so you'd keep you trap shut about that when dealing with one who literailly had you in the palm of her hand.

All in all, she looked somewhat like a revized Meia Gisborn from Vandread...not that you minded, Meia was actually pretty hot too.

Ember noticed the ways your eyes wer moving and grinned "Like what you see, Shorttie?" she purred.

You blush, embaressed that you'd been caught staring, and gulp while rubbing the back of your neck.

Ember laughed "No need to be shy about it, I take it as a compliment! So...what's the pipsqueak's name?"

"John Foster. Um... I take it you're not a writter's convenience, are you?" you asked.

Ember nodded "Bingo. There's something here my Boss is REAL interested in. A new type of Fire/Ground-type that can survive underwater. Perfect for smacking it to Team Aqua. Problem is...it can change its size and shrunk to get away from me."

"Well...mind if I help? I owe you for the rescue anyways." you say.

Ember beams at you again and hugs you to her chest. "You'd do that for me?! Thanks Partner!"

Partner? Well that's unexpected...then again, you eren't one to argue with a pretty face. And having help would make surviving in the Pokemon world a LOT easier, so why not?

"Ready to get to work, the pokemon I'm after has no recorded name, its so newely found. It's either in an underwater cave near here or the volcanic vents, which should WE check first?" Ember asks you.
