“Hello ! Anybody home ?” Jim yelled as he opened the house door. “I got off early, anyone home yet?” he continued.

“Guess no ones home yet” he mumbled to himself.

He tossed the keys to his new Pick-up onto the counter and headed upstairs to change. Jim owns a Landscaping Business in town and was tired and dirty. He just wanted to unwind for the night with the boys and they were all supposto be home tonight.

He went into his room and changed into a pair of sweat pants, t-shirt and sneakers. He thought he’d go downstairs and start dinner before the boys got home. Walking down the hall he saw some clothes lying on the floor, he mumbled as he picked them up, “that mike better learn how to pick up his dirty socks” and took them into his sons room.

On Mikes bed was a strange looking device and on it was written Science Project and a B+ on the report that lay next to it. Opening the report he read his sons work. He was trying to make a shrinking/growing device. He wrote that if we could figure out a way we could enlarge food sources and end world hunger.

Jim just chuckled to himself. The report and concept were good, but the device did not work.

He noticed there were individual setting on it for Enlarge, Shrink, Miniaturize and Flux. He played with the settings and knobs.

Jim was just about to put the “Shrinking device” down when he heard the downstairs door slam startling him. The device fumbled in his hands and fell to the floor.

A Green laser beam shot from the box and hit Jim
