Living in a small town is a mixed blessing. For one thing, small towns aren't crime-ridden areas like those big cities are. But small towns are poor towns, with not many shops or people in them. Chester is one of those crossroads towns that are small. Chester has a population of maybe 5,000. It's only claim to fame was Lake Chester, which is a huge camping ground and national park. If it wasn't for the national Park, the town of Chester wouldn't be where it was. The town also has one big factory in it, and a couple of shops. One of these shops was a shop that was called "Gregory's Shop". Gregory's Shop sold all sorts of weird stuff---it's a thrift shop. The store's owner--Gregory Dearns--was a very charitable man....not to mention very religious. Gregory's Shop sells second-hand goods and a fair few--and rather limited--DVDs and old VHS tapes. The shop has two dozen volunteers that work at the store. And you just happen to be one of the volunteers that work at the store as a stock boy.
One evening, you were stocking the part of the store that sold second-hand stuffed animals. Some of the stuffed animals looked pretty dirty, but perfectly suited to be sold at the store. It was near quitting time and some of the employees are leaving for the day. You put the last stuffed animal up on the shelf and you notice that it's a plush toy of Angewomon of the Digimon series. The plush toy is about three feet tall. When you leave it on the shelf, you hear a voice in your head calling your name. "Don't leave me here" the voice had said. It had been a soft feminine voice. You look around, but see nobody around.
"Take me with you" the voice said again.
You look back at the Angewomon and....grabbed it off of the shelf. You hadn't intended to remove it from the shelf, it was like your body was moving by itself. You stuff the Angewomon back in the box you got it from. You then walked to the back of the shop, threw away the box in a large bin and leave the shop with the Angewomon in hand. The next thing you knew, you're at your house and you enter it with your key. You had just moved into this house after graduating from college.
You take the Angewomon to your room and leave it there and went back downstairs to watch TV and have dinner.
When bedtime came, you went upstairs and enter your room.......and gasped in shock as you see that your room has been cleaned. The walls of your room are now covered in Christian art and a huge Cross is now on your door.
"Your room looks better now" said a feminine voice. You turn to see that the plush toy of Angewomon is on your bed, smiling up at you! When you were turning to face the plush toy, you thought you saw something else than a simple plush toy at the corner of your eye....but when you fully turned to face Angewomon, you see a simple plush toy.
"You can talk" you said.
"Yes" said the Angewomon. "and you've been recruited to help me return to my normal state"
You Blink. "What do you mean?"
"I've been cursed in the shape of this toy" said Angewomon. "and you're going help me get my old self back"
