Rei was facing a dilemma. She needed to get rid of the other clones so that she could have this all to herself. On the other hand, she had no desire to leave at the moment. Rei weighed her options.

Either she could reform Ritsuko to do the job, or hunt down the clones herself. Looking over to see Shinji with Asuka, she realized that was no choice at all.
