Even Ryoko and Ayeka were acting civilized, mostly because Tenchi had sworn that if they broke another dinner table they’d have to work it off in the carrot field. Just before desert, Ayeka noticed that the resident genius wasn’t present.
“Do you know where Washu has gotten off to?” Ayeka asked Sasami as she was picking up everyone’s plates. Sasami gulped at the question, she’d been hoping that no one would notice Washu’s absence. Thinking quickly, she came up with a little white lie to hide Washu’s diminutive size problem.
“I went downstairs and told her that dinner was ready, but she told me to forget it because she was working on a big project.” Sasami said. Since Sasami was such a pure soul, she felt really bad about lying to everyone. Maybe if she gave everyone an extra helping of dessert her guilt would be abolished.
“You don’t need to lie Sasami, we all know why Washu didn’t come up for dinner,” Ryoko said with a mischievous smile. Sasami nearly dropped the plates upon hearing Ryoko. How could they know about the accidental shrinking, only Mihoshi and her were there when it happened?
Sasami cast Mihoshi an inquiring look, but the dim witted detective was too busy giggling at her reflection in her spoon to notice the look. Sasami sighed, the cat was out of the bag and now she would have to apologize for lying. If she ever found out who leaked the secret, they would be getting no dessert for life.
“We all know that the reason Washu can’t make it is because she has to smear on her Preparation H for her little problems,” Ryoko laughed and Sasami relaxed. Ryoko had no idea about what had happened to Washu, she had just been making fun of her mom when she wasn’t here. No one knew that she had been lying about Washu’s absence, but what was Preparation H?
“Ryoko how dare you say such an inappropriate thing about your mother and in front of Sasami no less,” Ayeka scolded with a stern upper lip.
“What the hells your problem princess, did you run out of the butt cream and were planning on asking Washu for some?” Ryoko laughed evilly as Ayeka turned a shade of red. Jumping up to her feet, Ayeka jumped over the table and tackled Ryoko to the ground. As the scraped with each other, the table was knocked over and quickly reduced to fire wood by having Ayeka thrown on it. Ayeka looked at the broken bits of table around her and glared at Ryoko.
“Look what you’ve done!” she hollered. Ryoko just sneered and crossed her arms across her chest.
“It was your lardy ass that broke it, tubby,” Ryoko shoot back with the same cruel smile she got when insulting Washu. Enraged from the name calling, Ayeka rushed Ryoko and fought her out into the back yard. No one blinked from the exchange of punches or wonton destruction; they had all grown used to it.
“Want to have dessert in the living room?” Sasami asked upon seeing the wreckage that was once the dinner table. Everyone not involved in a fight nodded and moved him or herself to the living room.
