Washu's womb was the softest and gentlest bed that Tenchi had ever experienced. As soon as he got into the fetal postition, an umbilical cord connected to his belly button. Tenchi found that he couldn't breathe...but he longer had to breathe. He settled down and went to sleep, dreaming of tomorrow.
Outside, Washu smiled as she rubbed her pregnant belly. She felt whole and complete for the first time in a long time. It looked as if she was pregnant with triplets two months overdue. Washu started to sing a song that she had learned all those years ago from the prince she had married. The song was a lullaby that was written 120,000 light-years from Earth. Washu lulled herself to sleep by singing it softly. Washu was out like a light 20 minutes after she had unbirthed Tenchi.

[He was rushing down a long hallway. The hallway had several doors on either side, each leading to rooms. All of the doors were open, allowing him to see into each of the rooms. The rooms looked like orindary rooms that you might find in a hotel. Finally, the hallway ended at a door that had a "Wrong Way" sign nailed to it. Washu's heartbeat was steady and slow...like she was still asleep. Tenchi decided to wait for Washu to get up. Washu was a pretty light sleeper, and she showed no signs of tiredness during the day. Some people can get by with a few hours of sleep, Tenchi mused.
-------
Tenchi's room was empty and had been empty through the night. This fact made Ryoko even madder at her mother than before, for she was no longer to be seen either. Ryoko was sure that HER Tenchi was with Washu..where ever that was. It was around 7:00 in the morning, and the Masaki Household was quiet. The action usually started at around 8:00 am...breakfast time. But Ryoko had stayed up late into the night, hoping that Tenchi and her mother would return. They never did, and Ryoko had slipped into sleep.
Ryoko had woken with a start. She was still in the living room, on the couch. Her usual sleeping spot.
Just then, there came a knock at the door. The knock was made softly, as if the knocker didn't mean to wake anybody up in the house.
"Who could be here this early?" asked a groggy Ryoko to herself, as she walked to the front door. She opened the door to find....
