The door creaked open to reveal yet another Ctarl-Ctarl and a Terran with blond hair holding a gun. At the sight of another Ctarl-Ctarl, Jim screamed and let go of Aisha and ran for safety beyond the door. But, Jim never made it outside. The other Ctarl-Ctarl had grabbed him by his neck and lifted him off the ground. Jim was desepartely trying to free himself, but it was no good.
The Ctarl-Ctarl looked around the office, and saw the broken body of...
"You killed Sara..." said the Ctarl-Ctarl in a male voice. "why did you bother with her? She was only trying to recapture this puny little..."
Jim's struggles were becoming more frantic. With inhuman strength, Jim broke free of the grip of the male Ctarl-Ctarl and rushed passed the surprised Terran. Jim was going as fast as his legs would carry him.
"JIM!" yelled Aisha.
"Go after him" said the male Ctarl-Ctarl to the Terran. The Terran didn't respond, instead he made a choking noise. The male ctarl-ctarl turned around to see Suzuka standing over the body of the Terran.
"You won't hurt my friends" said Suzuka.
"And who's gonna stop me?" growled the ctarl-ctarl.
"I am" said Gene, coming up and pointing his caster at the ctarl-ctarl.
Aisha charged passed everyone and made it outside. Gene asked her where was Jim, but Aisha was out of earshot by the time Gene had asked.
Aisha sniffed the air and caught Jim's scent. It was easy to make out the smell of fear. No..it wasn't fear she smelled. It was beyond fear. Jim was in that "Fight or Flight" response that Terrans go through when thier lives are in danger. That's how Jim was able to free himself from the male ctarl-ctarl. Aisha had studied Terrans, but even still she was surprised how strong Jim had to be to free himself from the grips of her own speices.
Aisha stopped short when she came to an alley. Jim was in that dark alley. Aisha could see him clearly through the darkness. He was shaking all over and looked like he was betrayed by his best friend. Aisha walked closer to Jim, but Jim backed off.
"Jim?" asked Aisha. "it's me"
Jim didn't reply. His eyes told Aisha that he still was afraid of her. That's quite understandable, considering where Jim was a few minutes ago. Jim's breathing was labored and he kept backing away from Aisha as she walked towards him.
"Jim, it's me, Aisha" said Aisha. "I won't hurt you"
Jim seemed not to be listening. He must be out of his mind in fear.
"Jim, you need to.." started Aisha.
"Yo.......you....get...away" said Jim in a voice that didn't suit him at all. He sounded like a scared little kid...like John had when he told of the sweat shop.
"Jim...." said Aisha. "I understand how you feel. But I won't hurt you" Aisha made a grab for Jim, but Jim backed off again, tripping over a trash can lid. He landed flat on his back and went into the fetal postition. Aisha came over and picked him up. Jim didn't fight back...he just went limp in Aisha's arms.
"Jim?" asked Aisha.
Jim didn't reply.
Wasting no time, Aisha rushed off to the nearest doctor.
