Silence was in the limosuine for almost three minutes straight. The man still had his head in shadows, and he seemed to be thinking hard. Hojoma stayed quiet, waiting for permission to get his new life partner. The man blew smoke in Hojoma's face again, and Hojoma wanted to shove that cigarette up the man's ass. Of course, Hojoma would never do that. He knew what kind of protector the man had, though few did.
"We can't have you running around here" said the man finally. "you might get caught"
"I, Hojoma Jinjin, will never get caught" said Hojoma proudly. The man pounded on the window hard.
"This isn't about your pridge, damn it" said the man. "Have you seen today's newspaper?" And the man threw a copy of the local newspaper to Hojoma. Hojoma glanced at the headling titled: "ORPHANAGE RANSACKED; SLAVES FREED" below the headline was a big picture of the sweat shop and in the corner of the picture, there was Hojoma. Oh, he was blurry in the picture, but Hojoma was in the picture nontheless.
"Who took this picture?" asked Hojoma. "I'll..."
"We have no time for that!" spat the man. "I really don't care who took the damn picture, but the police will be after you. And if that happens, they could trace you to me"
"I'll never give away secrets" said Hojoma.
"The police have ways" said the man. "they can even make a Ctarl-Ctarl spill thier guts"
For the first time, Hojoma noticed there was something sitting next to the man, also in shadow.
"I see you noticed my protector" said the man.
What leaned forward from the shadows next to the man made Hojoma back off. A head was poking out of the shadows. A head made of shadow. You couldn't see any other features except for the very red eyes. This was what made the man so dangerous, even to a Ctarl-Ctarl. The man had a sith as a protector.
The sith were a race that was largely unknown. They seemed to be living shadows. What made the sith so dangerous was thier lightning-fast fighting style which could overpower a transformed ctarl-ctarl. Hojoma had long known that the man had a sith in his employ, but seeing it was an another thing. How the man had gotten a sith on his side, Hojoma didn't know. The sith viewed all other lifeforms as inferior to itself. They saw all other speices as a low lifeform. Terrans had fought with the sith long ago, and had lost badly.
"Hojoma,I see that I scare you" came a gutteral voice from the sith. "most species are afraid of what they cannot see"
"Now, now, Grenix" said the man. "we don't want to scare Hojoma away, do we?"
Grenix considered a moment before speaking. "No. He's proving to be most useful in this....venture"
Grenix leaned back, casting him himself into shadows once again.
"So, where are we going?" asked Hojoma.
"Sentiel III" said the man, blowing smoke in Hojoma's face once again. If Grenix hadn't been sitting next to the man, Hojoma would've attacked the man and eaten him on the spot. The man seemed to know that, because why would he have Grenix in the limo with him?
"Where's that?" asked Hojoma.
"Way out in the middle of nowhere" said the man. "you and Grenix here will set up shop there, along with my employers"
The limosuine stopped at the spaceport and the door opened. In came a short and fat Terran.
"Hello, Jerome" said the short Terran to the man. "the ship is ready"
"Good" said Jerome. And he motioned for Hojoma to exit the limo. Hojoma did exit the limo with the short Terran. Grenix also came out.
"I'll be here on Heifong if you need to contact me" said Jerome from the limo. "and, Hojoma...I wouldn't try anything with Grenix" The limosuine drove away.
