Chapter 35: John eaten?   (ID #307885)
an addition by: chaos  More by this author

In the hallway outside John’s cell, Jerome and Janell were discussing their new business agreement. Jerome had known about the bounty hunter Ctarl-Ctarl for over a month, but had only recently made contact with her. The viciousness and cruelty was known through out the universe. Rumors had spread of massacres that she had perpetrated, one of the rumors that Jerome was particular interested in was the mass murder of an entire school of children. Janell had been hired to kill a diplomat’s son that was attending the school. Unfortunately, she lost the child’s picture and had no way to identify him from the rest of his terran classmates. To rectify the situation, Janell murdered every student there to make certain that she got the target. Of coarse, she killed most of them with her hands and only ate a few. She was trying to lose her pregnancy weight back then and couldn’t indulge. After hearing about how ruthless she could be, Jerome had to hire her. The only thing that had been holding him back was Sara; it was a common fact that often Ctarl-Ctarl women cannot work together. It’s blamed on pheromones or something, Jerome was never good at biology so he couldn’t be sure. Whatever the reason, with Sara around, it was too dangerous to have another Ctarl-Ctarl around. Another factor was Hojoma, the hormonal male couldn’t keep his dick to one girl and the last thing Jerome’s organization needed was some damn love triangle screwing everything up. None of this mattered now, Sara was dead and he had a new enforcer that was twice as good. Everything was finally moving into place.

Their conversation was halted when Jerome’s cell phone started to ring. Standing up, he walked to the corner to talk more privately with the caller. His eyes narrowed upon hearing his private Sith assassin on the line, he would only call if there was a problem. As he listened, his face remained neutral and calm, he listened with interested and was done quickly. Coolly, he closed his cell phone and walked back to Janell.

“Something wrong, sir?” She asked when he returned to her side. Still as cool as a cucumber he nodded, then his face twisted into an enraged scowl. Pulling back, he threw a punch into the double steel plated walls that surrounded the cell. His fist sank into the steel up to his wrist and left a huge imprint in the cold wall. He leaned over huffing and puffing, with his hand wrapped around by steel. Janell gaped at the sight, these walls were built to withstand the strength of a Ctarl-Ctarl, but this man had easily embedded his fist into it like it was cardboard. For the first time Janell wondered who she had gotten in bed with. Absolutely nothing was known about Jerome, except he had even less respect for terran life then most Ctarl-Ctarls. His brutality had earned him nick names like, ‘the child slayer’ and ‘the man with no soul’. Now, it seemed that the mysterious Jerome had even more secrets, Janell would have to be careful that she didn’t end up like that wall.

“Excuse my outburst, but I recently found out that an employee of mine is going to died.” He didn’t sound apologetic, but Janell decided not to push it.

“How long does he have?” Janell asked because it was the polite thing to do. She could care less about some terran that worked for Jerome; the only downside was that she couldn’t eat the dieing husk.

“Matters how long I give him. By the way Janell, how would you feel about killing a Ctarl-Ctarl?” Jerome never got his answer because the door to John’s cell opened and Connie walked out, a big bellied Connie to be exact. Janell patted her daughter on the shoulder, it should be noted that her action wasn’t motherly, it was more of an awkward greeting if anything. Connie held her inflated belly with both hands, she had been wearing a special stretchy shirt, designed so she wouldn’t wreak her shirt.

“I’m glad you changed into you special stretchy shirt, Connie.” Janell feeling a mixture of pride that her daughter had taken her first meal and disappointment that she didn’t have the same cruel look of amusement on her face like her mother.

“I didn’t like changing in front of him,” Connie said nervously. She refused to make eye contact with her mother, she still seemed greatly disturbed by what she’d done.

“Why should you be, silly girl? He was just a hunk of meat.” Connie nodded quickly to her mother and tried to smile. Jerome looked away from the mother and daughter to check the cell, the kid had caused to much trouble to not make sure he was dead. He saw that the cell was empty and started to smile again. One problem had been taken care of, now there was a ton of other problem that needed taking care of.
“Let’s go,” Janell said unceremoniously. She walked swiftly away from her daughter with Jerome close on her heels. When they reached the end of the hall, Janell looked back to see her daughter was still standing in the same spot.

“I’m going to stay and digest my meal. I’ll meet up with you at the hotel, Mommy.” Connie called out.

“Whatever,” Janell said, leaving her daughter alone. Jerome looked back at the child terran and shrugged his shoulders; she wasn’t his kid, so why should he give a rats ass about how she’s treated. He had an empire in danger and people that needed killing; he had no time for children, unless they were to be served up to his customers. With a clang, the door to the holding area shut and Connie was left alone in the hallway. Letting out a sigh of relief, she let go of her stomach and a pile of clothes fell to the floor. She opened the door to the cell and looked behind the door, where no one could check unless they walked in. Curled up in the corner was John, he’d fainted when Connie had stared undressing him to use his clothes for her fake belly. When he had felt his shirt being lifted off, the only thing he though was this is it and then he fainted dead away. Connie looked sadly at the sleeping by and pushed his red hair out of his eyes. He was kinda cute, for a terran.

“Mom is going to kill me if she finds out,” Connie said to herself with a shake of her head. Her mother could be pretty scary, but Connie had to save the boy. in spite of this, she was in a pickle. She couldn’t leave him here or he could be discovered, that left leaving him in an alyee and hoping he gets the hint to go into hiding, or take him to that place that she heard her mother and that strange man talking about, it was called Starwing and Harking Enterprises or something like that.
