Jim and Connie stood in the entrance hall of the mansion with Aisha’s siblings. Moments ago, Aisha left with her parents to discuss where they were going to sleep and what they could do to track down Jerome. She left Jim behind because she wanted to discuses how they were going to take down Jerome and she knew Jim hated to hear her talk about murder. Connie was left behind because Aisha still didn’t trust the girl and felt better if she didn’t know their strategies. Once Aisha was gone, Jim started to sweat under the curious eyes of Aisha’s two sisters and brother. They looked at each other, not knowing how to make first contact. Jim nearly jumped out of his skin when Kyle’s watch started beeping.

“Wow, look at the time. I got to get to work,” Kyle said studying his watch as it beeped. Grabbing a briefcase by the door, he turned to Jim and Connie and quickly shook their hands.

“It was nice meeting you two,” he smiled, and then turned to his sisters.

“Millie don’t eat him. Aisha doesn’t bring many friends over and if I find out you’ve eaten him, I wont drive you to the amusement park this weekend, you understand?” Nodding unhappily, Kyle patted her and Paige on the head before rushing out the door. The door slammed behind him, leaving Jim with the two Clanclan sisters.

“I can’t believe that guy, telling me who I can and can’t eat. I’m a fully grown Ctarl-Ctarl teenager and I can eat whoever I want.” Millie’s slitted feline eyes turned to Jim and she gave the youngster a toothy smile. Jim had seen the same look on Aisha before she pounced. Feeling scared, he started backing up towards the door. However, before the teenage Ctarl-Ctarl could strike, Paige pulled her back by her hair.

“Stop it Millie, what has mom told you about eating guests?” Paige reprimand. Millie growled and pulled her hair from her sister’s grasp. Turning her angry stare towards Jim, she growled again, baring her sharp teeth at the young terran.

“Mark my word, I’ll eat you by the end of the day. No terran monkey escapes the jaws of the great Millie.” Not waiting for a response, she stormed off, leaving Jim to wonder what was her deal.

“Don’t mind her, she just stated eating terrans and she’s lost all sense of moderation. She’s been eating them by the bus load and it’s showing in her waist line. It’s quite sad how her low self-image has turned her from a brat into a fat brat.” Paige stopped rambling and looked at Jim. She leaned over and started sniffing the boy, taking special care to sniff his cheeks and chest.

“I like you, you smell like computers. Want to be friends?”

“Um, sure,” Jim said, slightly put off by the odd way that the thick glasses wearing Ctarl-Ctarl was acting.

“Cool, follow me.” Running down the hall, Jim followed behind her quickly. It seemed that his Hawking’s luck had held out and he had made both a new friend and an enemy.
