Without Jim there beside her, Paige would've eaten the young Terran in front of her right away like Trisha and Allison did. But, Paige didn't want to eat this Terran in front of Jim...it would be embarassing to say the least. Paige sighed and muttered "I'm not very hungry. I'll save you for later" Jim was about to say something. Jim didn't want Paige to go hungry, but he could see why she didn't want to eat the Terran; she was worried about what he--Jim--would think of her if she ate the Terran. Jim had been around Aisha when she ate Terrans before, and that didn't bother him too much--mostly because the Terran in Aisha's gut would be long gone when she saw Jim. Aisha couldn't eat Terrans on Heifong unless they were going to steal something from a Ctarl-Ctarl...or, volunteer to be eaten for various reasons. Now that Aisha was off Heifong and Sentiel III, she was free to eat all the Terrans she could get down her throat. Jim was mature enough not to freak out when he saw a Terran struggling within a gut, but it was a close thing. Jim reminded himself that Ctarl-Ctarl weren't follow Terrans and they had to eat too. Aisha told Jim that was the law of nature...the strong ate the weak, and Terrans were relatively weak in the psycical sense. Jim wanted to say that he wasn't bothered if Paige ate the Terran in front of her, but the words couldn't move pass his lips. Did that mean he really cared about the fate of all the Terrans on the ship? Jim shook his head and looked away from Paige and of the young Terran sitting in front of her. Jim looked around the cafeteria. Some of the ctarl-ctarls in the cafeteria was glaring at him, and Jim knew that the only reason he was still alive was because he still wore that leather collar that marked him as a slave. Without the collar, Jim would be taking a trip down a Ctarl-Ctarl throat.
Jim saw Aisha at a table in the very middle of the cafeteria, talking to the people that sat with her. Jim noticed that Aisha had a bloated gut, meaning that she had eaten a Terran. Jim thought back to the first time he had first saw Aisha...she had looked at him with hunger, which would scare any Terran. Aisha would've probably eaten him and Gene...and probably Melfina too. Jim was glad that he had such a good friend in Aisha now.
"Not eating, Paige?" asked Trisha, coming back to thier table. Trisha sported a huge belly that contained two living Terrans. The huge mound of flesh towered over Jim and Paige. Trisha smiled when she saw Jim looking at her bloated belly.
"Would you like to rub my belly?" asked Trisha.
"Oh....not now..." said Jim. "maybe later"
Trisha's belly hanged out of her shi rt, revealing her belly button. Jim was impressed that the chair Trisha was sitting on could support all that weight.
"Whatever" said Trisha, turning to Paige. "Can I have that Terran if you're not going to eat it?"
"You already had two Terrans" said Paige. "anyway, I'm going to save him for later"
"For a midnight snack?" asked Trisha. "not a bad idea"
"Where's Allison?" asked Jim.
"In her quarters, sleeping off her meal and booze" said Trisha. "she just fell into bed and went to sleep almost at once"
"Gene and her would make good friends" said Jim dryly.
"Who's Gene?" asked Trisha.
"My friend on Sentiel III" said Jim. "he was a booze hound like Allison"
"Well, a booze hound needs all the friends he can get" laughed Trisha, causing her belly to bounce around.
