At first, Gene thought that Melfina had spoken. But it was Jim, talking from inside Melfina. Gene and Aisha exchanged looks.
"You can hear us from in there?" asked Gene.
"The way you two are arguing, yes" said Jim.
"How is it in there?" asked Gene, who was getting the point that this isn't just about sex. Deep within Gene, he had a desire of returning to the womb. He never knew his mother, who had died shortly after he was born. Seeing Melfina with Jim inside her womb made Gene somewhat jealous.
"It's nice" said Jim. "warm and cozy"
"Is it..?" asked Gene just above a whisper.
"Gene?" asked Aisha.
Without a word, Gene left the room. Aisha didn't understand it; First, Gene was his normal perverted self, then he gets a kind of sad look in his eye.
Jim went back to sleep when he didn't hear Gene and Aisha aruing.
Aisha continued to her work with the small stove in the room.
