Disagreeing with her long time friend had tired her out and she thought that her Jim needed a nice nap. When she had started arguing with Aisha, something inside told her that Jim was unhappy with hearing them fight. Without even hearing or seeing him, Melfina knew exactly what Jim was experiencing emotionally. It saddened her to feel his pain, but it had to be done. Aisha was a tough and coarse creature and she would only send a bad example for Jim. He needed someone that could show him what love was really about and shower him with affection at a moments notice. He didn’t need some ill-mannered Ctarl-Ctarl, what he needed was a loving, caring mother, like her. Knowing that she had to make a stand for Jim good, Melfina had fallen off to sleep with out a worry. She didn’t even wake up when she was drugged in her sleep.
“Are you sure you didn’t give her too much. If you damaged her then there will be hell to pay.” Melfina couldn’t determine who the voice belonged to, but it sounded angry and female. Probably some girl that Gene had brought home from the bar and was finding out how bad he was in bed.
“I didn’t give her too much, Irena.” Now a male voice was talking and it sounded equally upset. It was too raspy to be Gene so who was in her room? Now that she thought about it, her bed felt really lumpy and it felt like she felt air passing her like she was being pushed. Melfina tried to crack an eye open, but a wave of dizziness came over her and she returned to darkness. What was going on?
“Looks like you were worrying for nothing, dear. Our guest is awake.” The male voice sounded smug and a sick feeling started setting in Melfina’s gut. Something was wrong she could feel it.
“How do you know? Her eyes are still closed.” The woman who Melfina assumed was Irena spoke sharply and cold towards the other man. The coldness in her voice sounded even more frigid then Suzuka chilly tone of voice.
“Her breathing, girl. It’s become more shallow, meaning she has awoken. Trust me, after all the people I’ve killed, I know when someone is faking a coma.” Melfina gulped and knew the jig was up. Even with the uneasiness in her body, she opened her eyes to the sight of two people pushing her down a corridor on a gurney. The man was wearing expensive clothes and had a big plastic smile. His beady eyes were what really disturbed Melfina; they had this emptiness that reminded her of Harry MacDougall. The woman beside him had the sad cold eyes only she looked more angry then the man. She was quite beautiful in an ice queen sort of way. Her long black hair was in a bun and was wearing blood red lipstick.
“Where am I?” Melfina hesitantly said.
“The fifth ring of hell, dear. Now hush, you’re going to need your energy for what is going to be happening.” Melfina wanted to ask what was going to be happening, but then she noticed that the woman’s eyes weren’t looking at her face. They were watching her pregnant belly rise and fall with rapt interest.
