It was ironic in a way. She had gotten used to using the rosary like a toy, yelling "Sit!" whenever Inu-Yasha got on her nerves, spoke out of line, or when she was bored. It's not that she meant to, but it soon became a form of therapy.
And now it was about to spell her doom.
Miroku and Sango yelled something, but it wasn't comprehensible, appearing as gibberish. Not like she'd be able to respond. They were quick, but they noticed it too late. Not even Sango's boomerang was that fast, and the Wind Tunnel...well, that would cause more problems than it solved.
The worst thing of all, she thought, was that she would never be able to see this quest through to its end. So much time appeared to have passed, and yet she had done so little. But now, she'd never see it through.
