Escaping was a good idea in theory. But theory does not always work out in to reality. In this case with everything being thoroughly blocked due to their earlier efforts, basically all they could do was run in circles. Eventually they would run to the point of exhaustion, but it never got that far. Inuyasha was too big, they could run at top speed and still not go half of the distance Inuyasha could in one step for the same amount of time.

Soon Inuyasha manged to grab Kagome and pull her up to his face. While she struggled in his hand, she felt a strange type of goo (it was the poised blood from earlier) splash on her face. Being a normal girl, this caused her to let out a small shriek, which let the goo drip in to her mouth.

She began to feel strange, first she felt a little warm. Then she started taking deep gasping breaths. From Inuyasha's perspective, every breath seemed to push her breasts out a little further, and she slowly began pushing his hand apart.

On the ground Miroku and Sango couldn't tell what was happening, all they knew was that Inuyasha had stopped doing anything other then staring at Kagome. They didn't have much of a chance to ponder it before they noticed his hand fully opening. Kagome was now big enough for them to clearly see from the ground. Their relief she was alright, turned in to fear when they saw she was getting bigger.

Kagome outgrew the ability of Inuyasha to hold her in his hand, so he sat on the ground and set her in front of him. From this position, Kagome now climbing up to about half the height of his massive chest and she still kept climbing higher. She started moving closer to Inuyahsa as she stretched up to match his hight will sitting. It was clear that she was being effected the same way as the original bite, she jumped on Inuyahsa, knocking him over to lay on the ground. He let our a primal growl as their back and forth began.
