The energy raced through every part of her, causing instantaneous changes to her form. She could only look on as
Outside, the battle against the man with the spear was turning against the ninjas of Team 8. His fluid motions were difficult to defend against and his attacks were relentless. Both Kiba and Shino found their attacks repelled by the man, and Yuhi's attempts to use genjistu were stopped before they could begin as the spear threatened to rip right through her.
"What manner of fool believes they can defeat one of the Suns of the Dark Sky?"
Kiba smirked as he stood back up. "Never heard of you. Are you one of those idiots that lies about their reputation to sound cool?"
"How dare you!" shouted the man. "I am Lan-Dao Sheng, one of the six Suns of the Dark Sky, and you are but mere genin!"
Shino didn't bother responding, but instead rushed forward, ready to attack, with Kiba behind him. Raising his spear, Sheng leapt forward to attack, but quickly stopped when he heard the sound of an explosion behind him in the hut.
"What?"
Towering nearly a hundred feet in the air, Hyuga Hinata appeared ready to strike down at the man who was attacking her teammates, the once timid ninja turned into a collossus of power. However, the man was too quick, and ran before she could strike.
"Ha!" taunted Kiba as the dog Akamaru barked alongside him, as if to join his master in taunting. "Big shot, huh?"
The man didn't respond, only retreating deeper into the forest, wearing a grin on his face. Kiba would have given chase if Yuhi hadn't raised her hand to stop him.
"He's heading towards one of the larger villages by here. A battle wouldn't be prudent seeing as we have what we need," she began, guesturing to Hinata, who could only look on embarassed. If the scroll had given her anything, it sure wasn't courage.
"I thought...I could help."
"Well, you scared off the big shot," replied Kiba. Shino and Yuhi both nodded.
"Let's go. I'm sure the archivers will be happy we've gotten their scroll for them. Just try not to mention what you learned."
Nodding, Hinata focused on letting her chakra receede, her body dwindling as well. She sighed a bit, this scroll giving her nothing but an odd rising feeling as a few stares, not the confidence she sorely needed. But at the very least, she had completed the assignment.

"YOU FOOLS!"
"But sir, we were certain that this was the scroll that..."
"You thought wrong! Look at the translations! Didn't they teach you anything? Leaf Village scrolls do not use this type of translation! This is not ours, nor is it the scroll you were hired to retrieve!"
The look of the archiver was firce enough to send chills into the souls of the genin. His first view of the scroll had caused this sudden outburst, which he had not relented from.
"You can keep this useless scroll for all I care, but judging by your report, blame falls soely on..." Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
