According to the report, that is Hinata Hyuga, is it not?"
"It is," meekly mumbled Hinata. She was ready to perform a full-scale apology when the archiver spoke first.
"It also seems that you've managed to temporarily disrupt the auction of the true scroll. The report gives a three-day estimate of when the auction will begin again. Seeing as we're only dealing with genin, I am willing to overlook this initial mistake. However, if you fail to bring back the scroll a second time, I will see to it that the genin of this cell become laborers for the rest of their lives."
The ninjas of Team 8 all nodded accordingly as the archiver returned the scroll to Yuhi. Without even acknowledging their response, he left the desk and retreated to an office inside the archives. Kiba shrugged.
"Jerk."
"That 'jerk' didn't report us right away to the Hokage. We're lucky that we were given a second chance."
"So do we get going?"
Yuhi shook her head. "Not right away. We've got a day to move, and they won't be traveling too far. We'll wait it out."
"What about the scroll?" asked Hinata. "It works. You saw it work!"
Yuhi smiled before handing it to her. "You keep it. This scroll may not have been the one the archive wanted, but it helped us back there. Maybe there's something to it."
Smiling, Hinata took the scroll as the ninjas walked off. Considering how the day started, she actually felt pretty good about herself. Maybe there was something to this foreign justu. Where will this story go next? Your choices are below...
