Her currant choice of clothes was her normal public school uniform with extra short skirt and tightened shirt, plus a healthy layer of water to turn the outfit even more revealing. The water was not her choice for the outfit. She had been walking by the lack when someone on a motorcycle had sprayed her with a wave of water as they went. The jerk didn’t even have the decency to stop and apologize, but who would apologize to a poor, skank, wacko like her any way. That was the way everyone in town saw her, as a poor person, that opened her legs for anyone and had weird conversations with herself and others. Since she was little everyone had looked down their noses at her for one of these reasons. If they didn’t find her pathetic for being underprivileged, then they did because she was so open about her body. If it wasn’t about her lack of decency, then it was her strange habits. If it wasn’t her eccentric behavior, it was because she had so little money. It was an endless cycle that just wouldn’t break.
“They can all go screw themselves,” Mamimi said to herself. She didn’t care who heard her talking to a nonentity, they already thought she was around the bend. Everyone thought that way about her, except her Tak-kun. Not her Tak-kun now, her Tak-kun backs then. Her Tak-kun back then was Tasuku and she loved him for never thinking he was better then her. She would have loved nothing better then to be with that Tak-kun the rest of her life, but destiny had other plans for him. He had moved to America to play baseball and had left her alone again. But her salivation would come from a new Tak-kun, Naota. He had that same look in his eyes that held no abhorrence for her. At first she had simply sought him out for that look, but soon he became her new Tak-kun that she needed and cared for. Was it love that she held for her young suitor. She had never experienced love, not even from Tasuku so she had no example to go on. Maybe it was love or maybe it was just a strong attraction. She didn’t care in the end, all that mattered was he is her Tak-kun.
Late at night, sometimes she’d imagine taking her Tak-kun with her as she ran away from this town, to a place where you are judged by the person you are and not the way you act according to what is socially expectable. She had many dreams like that where things were different. She dreamed of living in a world alone with only Tak-kun to keep her company. She dreamed of discovering she was really a princess and Tak-kun and her would live in a castle in Europe where they could lounge around all day. One of her favorite dreams was of when she was the one looking down at the people of Mabase as a giantess. She would smile as she setted over the people that had mocked and disregarded her as nothing. She would have a choice of eating the little pests or letting them be her slaves. This town would be hers for the taking and Tak-kun could be hers forever and ever and ever.
“Rawwwwww!” The sound awoke Mamimi from her deep thinking and she looked at the strange thing that had made the noise, to call it a dog wouldn’t have been right, but it had it’s tongue out and was waving it’s tail/extension cord; so Mamimi would call it a dog for now.
“Hi boy…er…thing, will you give me company while I wait for Tak-kun.” The ‘dog’ made another growing sound that could be taken for a yes or a sign that it was choking. Mamimi and her new pet sat there and waited for her kinda boyfriend, occasionally her eyes would go to the strange thing sitting next to her. As she was looking it over, she noticed what had to be a switch on the top of its head.
“What’s that there?” She reached for it and her fingers switched it on. The thing just looked at her as if for the first time and started to make another whining sound, only it wasn’t stopping it was getting louder. The whining grew louder and louder and as it did, a strange glow started to come from the things mouth. Mamimi didn’t have time to think what it was because it went off in her face, bathing her in an array of light.
