The morning sunlight shone through the window and onto a sleeping red-headed sorceress. Lina Inverse had went to sleep with Gourry in her mouth. She had been grinding her teeth extra hard last night, turning Gourry into a unrecongizable blob of bubble gum. Lina yawned hugely and reached into her mouth and pulled out the gum Gourry out of her mouth. Gourry's body was in a tight ball of bubble gum, which Lina pulled apart so Gourry looked more or like his normal self. Gourry had rings around his eyes from lack of sleep. Lina's teeth grinding had prevented Gourry from getting any sleep last night. When Gourry saw that he was finally out of Lina's mouth, he got on his hands and knees and begged Lina to forgive him. Lina smirked.
"I suppose you've learned your lesson" said Lina. "alright, I'll forgive you. But if you do anything like that again, I'll do something worse than that"
Gourry was turned back into his normal self. Lina and Gourry both left the room and went downstairs to have breakfast. Amelia, Zelgadis and Naga were all downstairs already and was having a huge breakfast.
"So, where are we going next?" asked Zelgadis, as Gourry and Lina sat at the table next to each other. Gourry made it a point to ignore Naga, but Naga failed to notice because she was stuffing her face with food. Amelia was also eating at top speed.
"Looks like to the west" said Lina, seeing the wand that had reattached the pages of the Vore Bible point west.
"To the west?" asked Amelia. "but...doesn't that lead to a swamp?"
"After 20 miles" said Gourry.
"It's either in the swamp or pass it" said Lina. "this wand doesn't feel hot at all...meaning, the next page of the bible is much further to the west"
Lina wondered what the next page of the Vore Bible would be. She got her answer when the door to the inn suddenly opened with a bang and two people walked into the inn. The Inn wasn't busy at all, due to the fact that people tended to avoid the city when Camilla was alive..but that would soon change. The only other people at the inn besides Lina and her group were four shadowy figures in one corner of the room. Most likely bandits, Lina thought. When the two men entered the inn, they looked like Death itself. Thier skin was pale and each had bloodshot eyes.
"GIANTS!" yelled one of the men. "we were attacked by a group of giants in the night. We were in a caravan heading to this town when we got ambushed by these four giants and one giantess. The rest of the caravan didn't make it...we barely escaped..."
Lina quirked an eyebrow. A spell for shrinking people, followed by a spell that made you into a giant....very interesting. Of course, there were spells to enlarge a person so that they would be as tall as 15 feet. And there were several species of giants that lived in the far north.
"Did any of the giants had a piece of paper?" asked Lina to the two men, who had seated next to Lina's table.
"I don't recall that" said one of the men.
"We were too busy to notice that kind of thing" said the other man.
"Hmmm" said Lina.
"How do we fight against giants?" asked Gourry, guessing what Lina was thinking.
"With a giant" said Lina, peering at Filia, who was drinking deeply from a mug. Lina's statement caused Filia to spit her drink all over Zelgadis.
"Hey, watch it!" snapped the chimera.
"I'm no giant, Lina" said Filia.
"You're the closet thing" said Lina.
"What if they don't have the next page?" asked Zelgadis. "just because there's giants roaming about, doesn't mean they have the next page"
"I suppose you're right" said Lina. "we better check it out, anyway"
