Mai huffed as she speed down the street in her car. That creepy tanned guy in the limo had slowed her down. When she had seen the long automobile, she decided that if she arrived in battle city by that ride, she was sure to impress a few people. By driving ahead of the limo and having mysterious engine ‘problems’, she was able to hail the limo to the side of the road. She had known something was wrong when the window slid down and a tattooed face appeared before Mai, quickly the man at the window was pushed aside and a slightly less creepy guy stepped out. He said his name was Marion or something, Mai couldn’t remember, he told her that he too was in the Battle City Tournaments. Seeing a golden opportunity to beat someone before even reaching the city, Mai challenged what’s his face to a duel. Unfortunately he told her that his deck was in the city so they’d have to postpone he match until later, personally, Mai thought the guy was chickening out. Then Mai asked for a ride and was turned down; apparently, the guy wasn’t as dumb as his hair made him look. Stomping off in anger over having her ruse seen, the jackass told her that she really should get something to eat because she looked famished. Behind her, Mai could have sworn she saw the guys weird stick glow, but when she turned around all she saw was his smug face.
“Probably for the best, that guy looked like he was the type to have chopped up hitchhikers in his trunk,” Mai said with a chuckle. After the limo had driven away, Mai got back into her mysteriously fixed car and drove off. Silently she promised to defeat that rich punk for refusing her company and forcing her to enter the city in a less then spectacular way. The worst thing about the whole experience was that the prick was right, she was hungry. Her hunger was being put on wait until she was done with her first duel. Mai Valentine couldn’t be seen scarfing down a hamburger while others got their first wins. She needed a nice quick battle so she could get to lunch, and then she saw it. Smiling she parked her car and walked out. Checking her reflection in the mirror, she positioned her chest so it was pushing out more then normally. Then, she strutted to her first victim.
