Oh hell... Dark Magician Girl thought, blinded by the flash of light that eminated from the Millenium Puzzle, transforming the little Yugi into the taller, more confident, and all-around more powerful Pharaoh.

He grinned viciously. "You forget your place, little girl. I confess to being more kind-hearted than my father (at least, from what I can remember), but that does not mean that I will let evil-doers go unpunished. I declare a SHADOW GAME!!!"

Dark Magician Girl scowled. "This is no time for games! I'm HUNGRY!!"

"Too late," Pharaoh laughed, the puzzle glowing with intense brightness.

When the brightness faded, the mall had become a massive maze that only vaguely resembled the mall. Duel Monsters and mall denizens found themselves each in a different enclosed area in the maze, each one marked with START in capital letters. Pharaoh's voice came out over the PA system, laughing.

"Welcome, patrons, to my Shadow Game! It's called Eat or Be Eaten! It's a race to the Exit to escape the maze, but with a twist! If you get tagged by a Duel Monster, they get to eat you! But Duel Monsters beware, if a human tags YOU, THEY get to eat you, and are protected from all harm via magic until they finish digesting their meals! So have fun everyone! LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!"

Dark Magician Girl scowled, her belly rumbling, looked around the four paths in front of her. She didn't believe that the remaining human victims could eat her or her fellow Duel Monsters. But a frightened shriek a few moments later from a voice she recognized as belonging to a Baby Dragon told her otherwise.

She chuckled, despite herself. "Okay then, little morsel. That's the way you want to play it? Then so be it."

She floated into the maze...
