A trash can fell over behind Yugi, Serenity and Joey, alerting them that someone was behind them. They all turned to see who was there and their reactions were mixed at seeing the person. Serenity was happy to see the person had caught up with them, while Yugi was more curious about what had taken the person so long, and Joey felt only irritation at seeing this person all together.

“Hi guys,” Kaiba waved as he ran up to the group. When he was beside them, he leaned over and panted for air. Yami Bakura groaned as he tried to get back his breathe. It seemed that Kaiba was in sore need of more exercise. Maybe a gym pass and less flying around in his Blue Eyes helicopter would put the brat in better shape. He smiled at everyone around him, taking particular care to wink at Serenity. He hadn’t gotten much ass in Bakura’s body, so maybe he could try to get his groove on in Seto. He could already see the chemistry between Serenity and his host, it would be child’s play to push it further and break his over five millenniums of chastity.

“What the hell do you want Kaiba?” Joey sneered. He hadn’t missed the wink he’d given to his blind sister. If there was one thing Joey wouldn’t allow, it was Kaiba getting his hands on Serenity.

“I’ve come to help you fight the great Evil and it’s powerful magic. I’ve learned what it is and how we can stop it.” Yugi and Serenity nodded to Kaiba, they already knew about the tree and the fruit it grew that gave Duel Monsters the ability to eat people. Joey didn’t know about Kaiba’s discovery and wanted to know more about their enemy, but something was wrong.

“Did you say ‘magic’?”

“Yes,” Kaiba nodded, wanting to give more information to the group so he could begin his plan. He’d be damned if he let Ishizu take over the world and spreads darkness and chaos, that was his job!

“So you believe in magic now?” Joey said, folding his arms over his chest as he started directly into Kaiba’s eyes.

“Yes.” Inside Kaiba, Yami Bakura was starting to sweat, was this fool on to him? Why was he looking at him like that? Why did Kaiba have to wear such tight pants?

“Okay, it’s official. We can start panicking because it’s the end of the world. Hell has frozen over. The earth is going to open up and suck us all to our doom. It’s over people, time to start fleeing and hiding!” Joey screamed at the top of his lungs and waved his hands around like a lunatic.

“What are you talking about Joey?” Yugi asked as his friend acted like a maniac. Everyone sighed as Joey hopped up on a mailbox and continued screaming his lungs out.

“Don’t you get it guys,” Joey panted as he jumped down and grabbed Yugi by the shoulders. “Kaiba admits that magic exists, do you know how bizarre that is? This is a guy that refused to believe in magic even after he fought in the Shadow Realm and had his soul sucked out. This has got to be a sign of the apocalypse. If Kaiba believing isn’t proof enough, think about this, Kaiba has been standing there for minutes and still hasn’t insulted me. Kaiba not being an ass is like the Mai being ugly, it’s impossible!”

Joey shook Yugi back and forth as he wailed. Screaming about the end of days and how he was too young to die. Kaiba stood silent as he listened to Joey whine. Something started to boil up from deep inside the possessed boy, until it exploded out.

“Would you shut up you stupid third rate duelist. I’d rather hear nails on a chalkboard then listen to you scream like a baby for another second. I’d call you a whimpering baby, but then I’d be insulting babies. Put a cork in it or I’ll shove my boot up your ass so far that it sticks out of your mouth.” Yami Bakura forced Kaiba’s hands over his mouth. He hadn’t meant to say that, had Kaiba started to regain control of his body?

“Never mind,” Joey sighed and let go of Yugi. “ Kaiba’s back to normal, false alarm. Want to get lunch?” Everyone blinked at Joey, even Serenity. It looked like the day wasn’t going to be getting any more normal soon.
