The doctor turned to leave after finishing his lethal deed. Soon one problem would be done with, leaving his mater with only two fools to handle. He would be richly rewarded for his help, once his master gained the power of the Egyptian Gods and combined it with his own. Powers untold would soon belong to his master and when that happened; no force in the universe would be able to stand up to him.

“Going somewhere?”

The doctor froze, almost afraid to face what was behind him. Slowly he turned to Kaiba’s bed, where said patient was sitting up in bed with his IV needle taken out. The dim lighting of the room made it hard to see his face, but one thing shone out in the darkness, two cold glowing eyes.

“You…you…you’re supposed to be knocked out!” The doctor stuttered as he tried to back out of the room, but was halted when an invisible force immobilized his legs. Barely able to hold in his terror, the doctor looked down and saw tentacles made of shadows latched to his legs. Across the room, he could see that they were coming from where Kaiba was sitting. An evil grin formed on Kaiba’s face, as the doctor realized what was going on.

“You’re right, Kaiba is knocked out, but I’m not.” Kaiba levitated off the bed and floated down to the ground. He glided to where the doctor was being held and looked him strait in the face. Dark wisps of energy flowed from Kaiba’s mouth, nose and eyes, creating a cloud of dark matter over their heads. The doctor whimpered as Kaiba ran the back of his hand over his cheek. If the doctor hadn’t been so terrified, he might of noticed how cold Kaiba’s hands were.

“I’ll be taking back what’s mine. I mean honestly, can’t a guy pass away for a day without having his stuff jacked? I mean really, it’s very rude,” Kaiba said this in a bored tone as he lifted the Millennium Ring over the doctor’s head. Kaiba took a moment to look at what he’d taken, he frowned slightly after he noticed a few things.

“You’ve been trying to use it haven’t you? Trying to delve into the powers that have taken me centuries to learn. Stealing my stuff is one thing, but having the gull to try and master it before me is a whole other matter. I suppose I could summon some cute monster girl and have them gobble you down like an oyster, but where’s the fun in that. I much prefer the slow and meticulous way to the quick and easy!” The shadows formed twisted around into the shape of blades. They hung above the doctor’s head ready to plunge into his soft unprotected flesh.

“Wait! Wait!” The doctor cried, tears running down his cheeks and piss running down his leg. “I can tell you things! Things about who sent me! Who the real players are in this game! I can even tell you the real power of the card that angle bitch gave to Kaiba! Just please, don’t kill me!” He ended his begging by blubbering all over the floor. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. He wasn’t supposed to still be in the rich boy’s body.

“So you’ll tell me about the new big bad that’s trying to turn the world into their own personal smorgasbord and how to use the very ‘special’ cards? ” The doctor nodded quickly, praying to every God imaginable that this monster spare his life.

“Interesting offer, but I’ll pass. While I was in the afterlife, I met the most interesting being that offered me a deal I just couldn’t turn down. They told me so many interesting things and gave me these cool new powers. So I’m afraid you have nothing left to offer me. Good-bye.” The sound of screaming filled the room, but was quickly replaced with only the soft sound of meat being cut and blood being spilt. However, before the doctor’s tongue was removed, he did whisper the name of his attacker as his last word.

“Bakura.”
