Nadia has no idea why this red haired woman and her loyal henchmen want the Blue Water so badly. It might be a beautiful stone, yes. But to her, the stone doesn´t seem to hold anything special...except for the fact that it is quite possibly a clue to her true origins and to her parents. Could it be that these people know more about its original purpose, maybe even something about her parents? Of course, that´s not her concern right now. She has to get out of here and far away from these three troublemakers, mainly for Jean´s sake. If she herself gets captured by them, Jean is in trouble as well, for he is inside Nadia, and therefore he has to go wherever Nadia goes, in a certain, unfortunate way. That Grandis, or whatever her name is, seems to be a determined and rather strong woman, but that shouldn´t be a problem for Nadia. She´s an acrobat, after all, so she´s a very athletic girl. She already got rid of these guys, Hanson and Sanson, rather easily. And the news from Jean inside her stomach and the fact that he´s out of danger gave her new confidence and wiped her tears.
Jean, on the other hand, is somehow disappointed with his situation. Being inside the girl he fell for and watching nothing but her stomach pulsating and wobbling, he wished he could be out there with her and help her. He´s not a great fighter, he´s physically rather weak, but he could have tried at least. And he thinks that a man is supposed to protect the girl he loves, not the other way round. Although he really feels safe inside Nadia´s cozy and comfortable stomach, and even the things some consider to be disgusting aren´t that much of a problem for him. The sheer sight of these muscular, fleshy walls surrounding him might be enough to draw people unto madness, maybe because of this feeling of being stuck inside a living, organic prison, inside an actual human. Yet for Jean, it really is the thought of being near to Nadia, nearer than he could have ever dreamed of. Judging from the movements of the ceiling of Nadia´s stomach, it appears that her breathing has become more calm, since her lungs aren´t pushing the stomach the way they did before, thus indicating that she´s not breathing as heavily as moments ago. He also notices that Nadia´s loud heart beat has calmed down, pumping blood through her veins not as fast as before, when she was so worried about him. But that might just be clouding the events to come. Jean is fully aware that it won´t be easy for Nadia to escape the clutches of these strange people. So maybe she´s just trying to calm down. He just hopes that she´ll be all right.
With Hanson and Sanson being knocked out by Nadia and lying on the ground, Nadia slowly approaches Grandis.
"Please, listen to me. Take your men and leave at once. I don´t want us to get into unncecessary trouble."
"Ha! You think you can get rid of me just like that? I will get that precious little stone of yours, no matter what!"
"...I won´t hold back if you attempt to fight me."
"Stop spouting that arrogant crap and give me the stone!"
Honestly, that Grandis seems to be complete maniac. That expression in her face and that look in her eyes...that´s more than determination. One could say it´s eccentric, others might just call her a lunatic, crazy for gems and other precious stones. In any case she´s charging at Nadia, attempting to get the stone already, but it looks like Grandis also belongs to the type of people who tend to overestimate themselves. She should have listened to Nadia, frankly. Nadia´s not just some other prissy missy like Grandis. Nadia actually can defend herself, not like most other woman of the bourgeoisie or the aristocracy living at the beginning of the 20th century. And Grandis obviously failed to realize that, although it should have been possible to judge Nadia´s abilities by her look. Although being very pretty, she also looks strong, and Grandis now can experience the extent of Nadia´s skills. As she charges at the mysterious girl - with the tiny eccentric inventor boy inside her stomach - Nadia simply leaps over the red haired woman in a magnificent way, with her movements during the jump revealing her grace. She lands directly behind Grandis, who´s obviously surprised by Nadia´s action.
But one can guess how Jean feels as all this happens. Nadia´s jump over her attacker made her whole stomach shift incredibly fast, thus throwing Jean around inside the fleshy chamber wildly, with him hitting several spots at Nadia´s stomach walls during the short jump of the girl. And even after the landing, the ordeal goes on for Jean...
Because Nadia decides not to simply run away, but to make sure Grandis gains a huge disadvantage. As Grandis has somehow lost her balance due to the sudden stop she made due to Nadia´s unexpected action, Nadia gives her powerful kick into her back, causing her to fall onto the ground and being knocked out. With her three attackers being unable to harm her right now, Nadia quickly runs out of her room, down the floor of the circus troupe´s resting place and out of the circus into the streets of Paris.
All this can be called a bumpy ride for Jean to say the least. The kick Nadia gave Grandis caused another sudden movement of her stomach, throwing Jean once again against the fleshy stomach walls and then falling onto the soft ground of her stomach again. The ground actually isn´t comfortable either, since it´s wobbling and shaking heavily as Nadia´s running fast. Of course her breathing and her heart beat are getting faster and louder due to Nadia´s movements, but that doesn´t bother him.
Oh man...Jean would have never thought of landing inside a girl´s stomach and being thrown around like that...but at least it indicates that Nadia is all right, and that´s what counts for him.
