If that small discussion has showed us anything, then it is once again the undeniable proof for an issue that has plagued mankind since the dawn of history: the very temper of a passionate woman. No man ever understood it and will probably never do. It was quite obvious that Grandis sudden changes of mood were frightening and strange, to say the least, but one could have gotten used to it. But seeing Nadia so enraged was really unbelievable. No one would have ever expected such a kind hearted and gentle girl like Nadia to lose her temper so easily and in such a scary manner. Looks like there´s an aggressive core deep within every woman´s soul, tormenting us at times. And yet...for all the annoying temper women provide us with at times, they make up for it with their kindness and beauty. It´s like light and darkness, one cannot exist without the other.
Grandis realized that Nadia was still quite enraged, so she decided to something to calm Nadia down, something no one would have ever expected her to do in the first place, knowing her all too well. Grandis actually provided Nadia with some words of wisdom that were even helpful.
"Nadia. I understand that you´re angry now, really. But my words were not without any purpose."
"Purpose? What purpose?!"
"Cool your jets, lady. Look, I know how much you love Jean. No matter how hard you try, you cannot hide your true feelings for him. Your words, your actions, the way you look at him, all this just proves me right. And when I swallowed him...your tears were full of honesty and care for him."
"..."
"You can´t tell me that he´s just a friend to you, Nadia. He´s means so much to you...that´s just too obvious. And I just wanted you to confess your love at last. What´s so bad about that anyway? Love is the greatest feeling a woman could possibly embrace, believe me. And...you really are fortunate. Jean is exactly the boy who can provide you with everything that makes love such a great feeling. I mean, come on! Just look into his face! He´s thinking about you all the time! He fell for you, that poor boy. And he really loves you for who you are, for your personality, for your beauty, everything that makes you such a special person. He doesn´t care about where you come from or something like that, he only cares about you. Only few men are like that. You´re really lucky, I can tell you."
"Grandis...that was beautiful! I would have never expected you to say such romantic things!"
"Well, I´m full of surprises!" the red haired "philosopher of love" said with a content smile, with her eyes being closed.
"You´re right, Grandis. About everything."
"So why don´t you just confess your love to him! He loves you, and you love him! And I couldn´t imagine a more innocent relationship between a girl and a boy. So what´s your problem? Everything´s perfect!"
"I...I want to wait."
"Wait? Wait for what?"
"For the right moment. I mean, everything happened so fast, I just met for the first time yesterday. Don´t you think it´s a bit too much to confess my love after a mere day?"
"Well...it certainly is unusual, I admit that. But you two are the perfect couple! Nothing could go wrong with your relationship!"
"Yes,you are right. But still, I think I´ll wait. When the time is right, I´m going to tell him everything. That he is the only person I ever had feelings for, that he brought happiness into my life...and that I want to be with him forever."
"Hm. I get your point. You want to wait for a more appropriate and more romantic moment. Like you two, on top of the Eiffel Tower, under the full moon...that kinda stuff."
"Something like that."
"Oh well...if you say so. But I hope you will tell him about your feelings one day. Else, you might regret it and hate yourself for the rest of your life."
"I´m aware that I shouldn´t wait too long."
"Although...I can´t see much of a problem here. Jean could never fall in love with anyone else. He´s obsessed with you. He would wait for you until the end of time."
Nadia simply had to smile at Grandis´ words. Now she was really behaving like a big sister, giving some helpful advice concerning Nadia´s first love. And she was quite thankful for Grandis being so kind.
"But don´t make Jean wait that long, ok?"
"Ok...big sis!"
"Wha---?! Big sis?!"
Grandis gasped as she was obviously a bit perplexed. Yes, she felt like a big sister for Nadia. That´s at least how she felt earlier. But she would have never dreamed of her actually feeling the same way.
"Huh? Oh, I´m sorry, Grandis. I know it sounds quite unusual, but...after all the things you said, you just seem like a big sister to me. I never had brothers or sisters, you know, so..."
Grandis began to smile with a warm expression in her face, overjoyed and happy about Nadia´s words. It seemed like Jean himself created this incredible chain of happiness being brought into peoples´ lives. Jean first met Nadia and changed her life completely, making both of them happy. And now...Nadia was doing exactly the same thing for Grandis. No one ever spoke so highly about Grandis before, and now that acrobat girl said that she looked on her as a big sister. She carefully touched Nadia´s hair with her right hand, like a sister would do.
"Thank you, Nadia. I...I feel the same way. Exactly the same way. I never had a brother or sister myself."
Nadia kept that cute smile of hers while she was still lying on her bed, with Jean sleeping on her belly without even noticing that heartwarming discussion.
"That´s great...sis!"
"Hm. all right then. I hereby promise that I´ll watch over my small sister on our dangerous voyage. She´s kinda headstrong, so God knows what kind of trouble she could get herself into."
"WHAT?!"
"Relax, I was just joking. It´s just so strange...Because of Jean, all our lives have been changed in a positive way. He fell in love with you, you fell in love with him...and now I have a small sister out of a sudden! Now if that isn´t something."
"Yes...Jean really gave us so much..."
"And his reward is not that shabby, either. I mean, having you as a girlfriend must be a grandiose thing every man would desire."
With her face turning red slightly, Nadia looked at her belly again, seeing that Jean was slowly trying to stand up.
"Ah, looks like our hero finally awoke."
Jean rubbed his eyes and yawned. God, he slept like a baby on Nadia´s belly. And his dreams...well, they obviously revolved around Nadia, but it was nothing too...explicit. He wouldn´t even dare to dream of Nadia in a desecrating way. As his eyes got used the light again, the first thing he did was looking around, and seeing what was directly in front of him, he was slightly scared.
"Good morning, little man. Ya slept well?"
It surely was more than a surprise to see Grandis sitting on a chair in front of Nadia´s bed, smiling down at him on the dark skinned acrobat´s belly. Grandis had returned to her chair after she and Nadia realized that Jean was finally waking up again.
"W-what are you doing here?"
"It´s all right, Jean."
Ah, Nadia´s voice. It was enough to make Jean calm down again. Only moments after he heard her terribly sweet voice, the soft ground he was on began to shake slightly, as Nadia now sat down in her bed upright, with the part of her belly Jean was on still being in a slightly horizontal position.
"Good morning, Nadia!"
"Hey there, Jean!"
And once again, that damn smile returned to Jean´s face. That smile that actually told everyone he was madly in love with her.
"Uhm...didn´t you forget someone?"
"Huh?"
Jean then looked at Grandis again, who seemed to be waiting patiently for Jean to say "good morning".
"Oh well...good morning, Miss Grandis."
"Oh please, cut that "Miss" crap. Grandis will do."
Realizing that tow gigantic girls were now staring down at him, he began to feel slightly uneasy.
"What were you two doing here?"
"Well, were just talking. Girly-talk, you know."
"I see..."
"And we were talking about you!" Grandis had to add.
"Grandis!" Nadia yelled at her.
"You were talking about me? And...what did you say?"
"Well, there´s no way I´m telling you. But your princess there might give you a hint...someday."
Ouf, it was certainly embarrassing for Nadia, and her face was getting red quickly. Jean realized this, and in order not to embarrass her any further, he quickly changed the topic.
"So...are we ready to go on our adventure?"
"I certainly am." Grandis said confidently.
"Me too." Nadia added, with her face getting back to normal again. That heat rising in her body as Grandis was almost about to tell Jean everything was unbearable. Now she could concentrate on the upcoming journey again. And as for her relationship...she would be confessing him everything soon enough. And when the time was right, it would be perfect. It would be a truly romantic moment when she was about to tell Jean how much she loved him. Only she could not tell whether it was going to be before or after their dangerous journey.
