She had been told that she was programmed to love Faust and only Faust by the scientist that had built her. But how could a line of data cause her to ache so much for one man? How could the information in her Maiden chips make her die for another person? It wasn’t the scientist or maiden chip that made her love Faust; it was her decision to love him.
She needed to talk about her feels, her desire to have the man inside her much like how the boy would sleep in her belly. She knew that Faust loved her even though he never showed it or said it out loud. It was that look he got when she helped him take a step closer in ruling Terra II, that look of benevolence hidden deep inside his cold soul. With the need to talk with him nearly driving her mad, Tiger crept from her post and stood at the bedside of her master. If she desired to, she could devour the man while he slept. He wouldn’t know what was happening until he was at the bottom of her stomach. Then with her lord tucked away, she could steal into the night and leave this foul land behind her. She could take her mater to the mountains or the country and there they could spend the rest of their days. They would only need one bed because Faust would sleep in her stomach at night, like he did as a child. He would farm and live off the land, while she stayed at home and cooked and cleaned for him, as a loving wife must. They could spend hours looking at each other like it was the first time. He’d final say he loved her and she would love him back with twice the passion. They would grow old and frail her love would still burn just as strongly as when he was a young man. When the time came for his decrepit, old body to pass on, Tiger would turn her power off and join him in heaven. It was a beautiful dream, but only a dream.
“Lord Faust may I please speak with you?” She whispered to the sleeping tyrant. The man’s eyes opened and he turned his hawk like stare to the marionette.
“Why have you awoken me?” He scoffed at the creature that he considered to be under his notice outside of battle.
“Do you love me, my lord?” Tiger whispered, praying that this would be the night that he would come out of his shell for her. Without responding, Faust rolled to his side away from the waiting marionette.
“If you awake me again for such dribble, you’ll be removed from watch.” Then he went back to sleep. Heartbroken again, Tiger slinked to her post to keep watch over the man that only held love for himself. Tiger was much like Bloodberry in the way that they were both strong, both loved their masters, and both loved to eat their masters, but unlike Bloodberry, Tiger couldn’t cry. Not for happiness or sorrow.
