Terra II.
The planet had no women on it, only men. Thanks to the ship-board computer on the starship that went to Terra II to colonized it, Terra II had only men on it. And 300 years later, Terra II is still populated only by men...and clones at that. Terra II tried to contact the other colonies of Earth...but those colonies were too far away for the message to reach them. It was a fact that a planet with no women on it had no future. Despite thier best efforts, they can't make a women with thier cloning machines. The only women on Terra II were androids called Marionettes...which had no emotions whatsoever. In school, the 'children' of the clones were taught that women were sensitive creatures, and that they can give birth to babies. The exact process of having a baby was unknown to nearly every male on the planet...including Otaru.
Otaru knew somethings about women...how that they were beautiful and lovely. But what he didn't know about women could fill several books.
It was Bloodberry who taught Otaru on women...when Cherry wasn't around. And Bloodberry was a very good teacher.
Unlike other marionettes, Otaru had marionettes that had emotions. Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry were all equipped with a maiden crucit, which gave those three marionettes emotions. Lime was like a kid; always excited about something and playful. Cherry was the cook and was highly proper. Bloodberry was the adult of the three, and would tell Otaru about women.
Each of Bloodberry's 'lessons' were 4 hours long...perhaps an hour longer if Cherry was busy with something. Cherry would stop Bloodberry from telling Otaru about women because it "wasn't proper". Bloodberry merely waited for Cherry to exit the room to continue her lessons. Lime stopped to hear the lessons from time to time, but she was usually busy too.
Today, Otaru was selling fish with Bloodberry's help. The red-haired Marrionette was well-known in Japoness, as well as Otaru. Otaru was 'the savior of Japoness' because he pissed on Gartlant's main computer...a fact that wasn't widely known to the public. Otaru was something of a celebrity, along with his three marionettes. Otaru was in the limelight for about a month..then, he decided to stay at home with his cute marionettes. Otaru was quite content being a salesman.
Bloodberry's lesson for today was all about where babies came from. Bloodberry discussed this when Otaru didn't have any customers.
As Bloodberry spoke, Otaru felt a note of sadness in Bloodberry's voice. Marionettes couldn't create a life within thier bodies...because they weren't human and therefore couldn't get pregnant.
"I wish I could have a baby..." said Bloodberry lornfully.
It seemed that the maiden crucit also gave Bloodberry that 'maternal instinct' that human females have. Otaru felt sorry for Bloodberry that she couldn't give birth....if only there was a way.
