"One down, six to go" said Trunks as he and Goten took to the air. The dinosaur was still knocked out cold.
"Next time, you go down in the belly of whatever ate the dragon ball" said Goten.
"I don't think we'll have to worry about that" said Trunks. He looked at the dragon radar. The closest dragon ball was quite a bit away to the south. So, Goten and Trunks zoomed out of the area just as the dinosaur was waking up.
Trunks and Goten passed over mountains and cities. But, nobody saw the pair flying in the air. The two was nearing a city that looked to be abandoned. The dragon ball was at the heart of the abandoned city. The two landed on a cracked street and looked around to see the city was indeed a ghost town. It looked like a battle had taken place; houses and building had gaping holes in them and there was debris everywhere.
"What happened here?" asked Goten.
"I don't know" said Trunks as he walked towards the dragon ball. The dragon radar was pointing to the only building that had no holes in it, although it looked like it was hit by a small pipe bomb.
"Maybe we should go get my dad" said Goten.
"Aw, quit your whining" said Trunks. "we can handle whatever it is"
"Indeed?" asked a voice just up ahead. The two boys looked around, until they saw someone coming out of the building, holding the dragon ball under his arm. The man that was holding the dragon ball was large and muscly. He had blond hair, with red streaks mixed in. He was wearing a tank top and blue jeans. On his forehead there was a design: )/( (at least that's what it looked like).
"Give us the dragon ball" said Goten.
"You want it?" asked the man. "come and get it!"
Trunks did precisely that. With uncanny speed, Trunks rushed forward and made a grab for the dragon ball. But, the man ducked just in time to avoid Trunks.
"WHAT THE...?!" asked Trunks in shock.
Goten came just as fast as Trunks did, but the man dodged Goten too.
"Fast little twerps" said the man. "dodge this!"
Then, the man fired a series of ki blasts at the pair. The two managed to dodge every one of the ki blasts. The man stopped shooting fairly soon.
"I'm quite impressed" said the man. "but what are you gonna do about THAT?"
The man was pointing behind Trunks and Goten. The two whirled around to see what was behind them, but they never did. All they saw was a red fist rushing at them before darkness took them.
