She had given up.
She had given up on everything. Her life. Her salvation. Her hope. Her sanity. She had simply given up everything in this place called Hellywood. She didn't even remember her name now. She was called "You" or "Bitch" or some other name except her real name. Did anybody really care what her name was anymore? Did anybody really care about her feelings? Did anybody really care that she was slowly going out of her mind? No. The heartless men in Hellywood simply viewed her as a plaything, something to be tamed, something to get pregnant. She had cried long into the night after she had returned to her cell every night. And each new day started the same way. She must've cried a gallon worth of tears that fell on deaf ears. Nobody really cared for her anymore. How she wished to meet a man that wouldn't...violate her, wouldn't touch her, wouldn't rape her. But she had given up to meet anybody like that. The chances to meet someone nice in this place was nonexistant. She wished for death to come...and she would welcome it with open arms. Death was more kind than what she went through every single day ever since she came to be here.
Then her cell was opened. She was hidden in the shadows so that she couldn't be seen. One of those heartless men was dragging another person into her cell. She didn't dare to look who the person was while the brute was in her cell. The brute threw a bundle to the middle of the cell and then left. That was odd. Usually when the cell was opened, she would be taken to be....the thought made her shudder. Which made the bundle notice her.
"Who's...who's there?" asked a young voice.
She didn't answer. She didn't want to. All that she wanted to be was alone. Why had they thrown this person in her cell? Was it too much trouble to drag her to one of those rooms? Was this a new thing that would happen regulargy now? The person in the middle of the room looked to be a boy...perhaps a year younger than she was. The boy didn't look he had the energy to come over to her. In fact, the boy looked like he was beaten up pretty badly. But, he could be playing dead. If she came over to him, he would drop his act and rape her like the other men had.
It took 15 minutes for her to realize that the boy had gone to sleep. She didn't approach him still. She didn't dare to go to sleep, because he would come over and have his way with her. She needed to keep awake and watch the boy.
25 minutes later, she considered something. Perhaps the boy wasn't like the other males in this hellish place. Perhaps the boy was a prisoner just like her.
5 minutes passed in total silence, and the boy showed no signs of waking up.
Then, she heard footsteps coming towards her cell. She was still hidden in the shadows.
The footsteps stopped at the cell and a man peered in. The man had a handsome face, dispite the burn scars that covered the left side of his face. The man had reddish eyes and sandy brown hair.
"You poor little thing" said the man. "you need to get outta here and I have just the thing"
The man tossed something that looked like a pendant into the cell. The pendant landed near the sleeping boy in the center of the cell.
She didn't reply, as she didn't completely trust the man.
"You need to get out of here, Sara" said the man. "and take the boy with you"
Was Sara her name? Yes. Yes, it was.
"How...do..do..you know my name?" stammered Sara.
"No time to explain" said the man. "just use that pendant and your escape shall come"
Before Sara could ask more, the man had walked away.
How do you "use" a pendant?
Sara didn't care. She just wanted to escape from here, and if that pendant could help her, she would use it. She crawled slowly towards the sleeping boy and grabbed the pendant.
