It spread from her hand that clenched the pendent, up her arm and into her brain. For years she had thought her last tear had been used up during the seemingly life times of torture and rape, but now they blinded her eyes. It was unlike when her innocence was stolen from her or the constant beating she took, it was unlike any pain she had ever experienced. The best she could come up with was that skin felt like it was on fire and that worms were digging their way through her brain like it was dirt. She nearly bit her tongue in half when she clenched her teeth down. Veins stuck out of her neck as she convulsed next to the still unconscious boy. Sweat tricked down her body, soaking the dirty rags that made up her only piece of cover. She tried to let go off the pendent, but her fingers were stiff and unmoving. All she could do was quiver and pray for the sweet embrace of death to take her away from this new form of hell. Then, as fast as it came, it disappeared. Sara was left panting on the ground confused and scared. At that moment, Sara felt the ground shake from under her body. Sara thought that maybe God had heard her wish and was pulling this hellish place into the earth forever more. She closed her eyes and waited for death to take her. When nothing happened, she opened one eye to see what was happening. The first thing she noticed was although she felt the earthquake, no one else was. That could only mean that there was no earthquake, she was the one shaking. The second thing that stuck out to her was that her cell seemed so much smaller then a moment ago. When she saw the unknown boy that had been sleeping beside her she gasped. He looked no bigger then a baby to her. Realization hit her hard that instant and she was able to take in what was happening to her, she was growing.
With in moments her head hit the roof of her home for the past years. She gritted her teeth as her skull was pressed into the roof harder and harder as she grew. She had moved by accident during her discovery of her growing size and that was what saved the boy from being crushed by falling debris when the ceiling came tumbling down. Her body grew into the second floor and continued to the third. She could only watch as she grew until her face burst through the top of the prison and she opened her eyes to the spectacle of her first rays of sunlight in God knows how long. Her body had destroyed the first level of the compound and left huge amounts of damage to the rest of the prison. The destruction of the place where she had been incarcerated went mostly unnoticed by Sara; she was too busy looking at the sun. It was so beautiful and warm that tears once more sprang to her eyes. These tears were not one of the bucket load that she had given because of the suffering she had received, but of joy for her freedom. She pulled her arms out of the prison and caused most of the roof to be upended. She could now see into her prison at all the people who occupied it. The guards looked at her in terror, most remembering her from the sessions of rape they had administered to her. Others couldn’t recognize the girl, not because of her huge size, but because she was smiling for the first time since being dragged here. She noticed one person in particular among the huddled masses. He had been woken up when Sara had burst through the ceiling. How shocked was he to wake up underneath a giantess after taking a beating from the guards. It took him a moment to place her huge face as that of the silent girl that shared the cell with him. He gulped, not knowing what to expect next. From the time when he appeared in this strange desolate place, surprises had jumped out at him from every turn. From robots to death troopers, danger seemed to wait for him at every turn. But when he looked into her eyes, he saw none of the evil or cruelty that he had experienced so far. Deciding to give it a try at being nice to the potential lethal girl, he called out to her.
“HI!” His shout was returned with silence as Sara looked at the boy. The only thing that had come out of Sara’s mouth had been screams of pain and begging for it to stop. She tried to open her mouth and return the greeting, but all that came out was a low-pitched mew. Trying again, she managed one word.
“Hi.”
