Misty gasped when she saw that she had Gary Oak, Ash's old rival in the middle of the chopsticks. Ash had been looking in the other direction, but glanced behind his shoulder to see why Misty gasped. Then, it was Ash's turn to gasp.
Gary Oak looked to be in BAD shape. He had a black eye, he was bruised from head to toe and he looked to be dead as Misty rose her chopsticks to her face. It looked as if someone had tortured Gary. This was common among shrinkees, to be beat to a pulp so they wouldn't run away. Misty herself tortured shrinkees, but not as bad as Gary had been. Finally, Gary managed to open his eyes only to see he was in a pair of chopsticks and that he was in front of a girl's face.
"Hey...aren't you Ash's friend Misty?" asked Gary in a choked voice. Casey was watching with a bemused look on her face. Ash had wondered what happened to his long-time rival Gary. The last time he saw Gary, he wasn't a shrinkee. He must've shrunk just recently.
"Ashy" said Gary, looking down to see Ash. "so..she hasn't eaten you yet, huh?"
"I'll never eat Ash" said Misty. "but I can't say the same about you. You were always horrible to Ash. Well, you're a shrinkee now...and shrinkees like you only have one good use...as food"
"Yeah?" sneered Gary as best he could. "go ahead, then. My life has been hell ever since I shrank a week ago. Being eaten by you would be a better fate than what I've been through"
"What have you been through?" asked Ash.
Ash never found out. Misty sticked Gary into her mouth and swallow him down whole. Ash could see the lump in Misty's throat travel down to her stomach. Again, Ash thought he heard a faint splash.
"Good riddance" said Casey.
Ash had to agree. Gary was horrible to Ash, always bringing him down and playing nasty tricks on him. Ash felt no remorse whatsoever seeing the death of his rival, Gary. Ash looked away as Casey and Misty ate thier meal. He was still uncomfortable seeing shrinkees getting eaten.
"Hey, is that you Ash?" asked a familar voice. Ash looked around to see Sabrina at the next table. Misty and Casey also looked around until they spotted the psychic gym leader.
"Sabrina!" yelled Ash. Ash had memories about Sabrina. It gave him the shivers to remember Sabrina's toy box, which he almost was a part of!
"Who's she?" asked Casey.
"Sabrina" said Misty. "she's a psychic"
Sabrina came over to Misty and Casey's table.
"Ash helped me when I was having an identity crisis" said Sabrina to Casey. "I hoped to re-pay him for helping me, but I feared he shrunk and was eaten. But, here he is, right in front of me. Do you mind if I...?"
"Of course I would mind" said Misty. "Ash is my..." she didn't want to say 'boyfriend' outloud. Sabrina smirked and Misty blushed, guessing that Sabrina knew what she would say.
"He's your boyfriend?!" asked Casey in a slightly raised voice. Misty's blush deepened.
"I'm not going to kiss him, if that's what you're thinking" said Sabrina. "I just...want to hug him"
