It was unusually cool for this time of year. You shiver as the wind courses right through you, tossing about leaves around the temple. Sighing, you become aggravated at the task of raking the disobedient things into a pile. Fall had never been this annoying. You think it may be easier if you weren't so hungry... you hadn't eaten for the entire day, but it felt like more than a week. Something was definitely different about this hunger. It was far more intense than you were used to. The saying "so hungry you could eat a horse" started to seem like a better idea with each passing second.

Sighing again, you lean against the rake and wonder when there'll be food again... the fridge was empty, and given a frustratingly precise set of circumstances, would have to remain so for a little while longer. The idea of going to Serena's house strikes you, but-

*CRASSHHHH!!!*

A massive smash came from behind, in the temple. Shaking off your hunger, you run in, bracing yourself to face whatever was the source of that noise. The thought never occurred to you that it might be an accident, but then, it never was. You stamp down the hallway and begin to chant.. "Mars, Power..." You break open the door to the prayer room, "MAKEUP!!" Fire surrounds you as your being transforms into the senshi Sailor Mars. The feeling was always a tad strange, but you put off thinking about it as you run into the room. There stands a strange being, not possibly of this world. It appeared to be almost the same as a woman, only... her skin was a deep blue, and her hips were gargantuan.

"What?!" The being asked in a rather snakelike voice. "You!" you shout, pointing a finger forcefully at it. "I don't know what you are, but get ready because I'm..!" your stomach grumbles loudly, interrupting your speech halfway. Embarrassed, you turn your head down, as the being tilts its head back and laughs. "Haa haa! So you haven't eaten in forever either? That makes two of us!" It barely finishes its sentence before a thin, also snakelike proboscis shoots from its mouth. It appeared to be a tongue, but no time for taxonomy now! You summon as much strength as you can to jump out of the way, and...
